Hello all - I don't normally post much on this forum, but I thought I'd share something funny that happened at an AP authorized dealer here in so cal. When I entered the store, I did a quick scan to see where the AP section was. There was a gentleman that was checking out watches at the display case, who was trying on a bunch of AP watches. He stood right smack in the middle of the case - all of the great pieces were in the center: 44mm ROO SS/Carbon/Ceramic, as well a bunch of 15400 pieces. I overheard him arguing with the saleslady about the polishing of the 15400. She told him that the links were brushed. Then he said No, you're wrong! they are polished. Just look at it! They went back and forth and the saleslady was getting visibly annoyed. I started to chuckle in my head and couldn't believe it. Why you ask? Well because its so rolex. Eventhough I cant see anything if I am looking at the dial at any angle other than 90 degrees. I like it because it so rolex. Eventhough it destroys the symmetry of the dial. Im glad its there. Its so rolex. I can see the minute counter much better now. Im glad rolex glues on a second piece of sapphire on another piece of sapphire. Its very rolex of them.
