SIHH Preview: Jaeger-LeCoultre Memovox Tribute to Deep Sea
In 2008 JLC presented two faithful interpretations of historical diver's watches, the Memovox Tribute to Polaris 1965 and the Memovox Tribute to Polaris 1968, both of which proved very popular. For 2011, JLC introduces a re-edition of the 1959 Memovox Deep Sea, logically named Memovox Tribute to Deep Sea.UPDATE: Look inside for pricing and wallpaper. The Memovox Deep Sea was the first diver's watch ever made by the Manufacture Jaeger-LeCoultre. The original was produced in two versions: one for European sports enthusiasts and the other for American divers. In homage to its rich past, Jaeger-LeCoultre is unveiling a limited-series re-edition of the two 1959 Memovox Deep Sea models. And, as one would expect, the Memovox Tribute to Deep Sea also comes in two versions, each bearing the appearance of one of the historical variations. The Memovox Tribute to Deep Sea faithfully replicates the original model, except in one respect: the stainless steel case has been slightly enlarged from 39.8 t
Royal Oak - Regular Cleaning Regiment?
Sorry - Regimen.OK. Dumb question. Not as dumb as What is the average discount I should received on a stainless steel Rolex or Is it safe to wear my expensive watch in _____ City, Country etc...Now we know (after numerous comments from Padi) that the best way to clean a Rolex SS sports watch is with a soft toothbrush and gentle soap / warm water. No Veraet / fancy watch cleaners required.Same for a Royal Oaks? 15300 / 15400 / 15202?Reason I ask is I know the fine brushed surfaces can scratch if you look at them funny. Would a garden-variety toothbrush mar the fine brushed surface of a RO?What do folks to do in terms of regular cleaning? Thanks

Itching for something new maybe a 663 or a 372?
Hi all,I'm itching for something new maybe something historic like the 663 or 372. I currently own a 1312 and would like something to complement it. Both pieces would probably see even wrist time as I would rotate them daily. I've been digging around the forums and 663/372 have caught my eye, however I have a couple of questions/concerns-1- I've never owned a timepiece with a plexi Crystal. Should I be concerned about scratches on the plexi? I really try hard to keep my watch is in mint condition and I'm worried that the plexi would show lots of wear. Am I just being paranoid?2- I like the idea of a larger case and 1312 fits my wrist nicely. Do you think that the larger 47 MM case would be OK on my wrist (see picture below)?Let me know your thoughts! Thanks in advance!!David
