Taking more than 1 AP into the US?
Does anyone know if there are issues if you took more than 1 AP into the US? I've only just started collecting AP and will shortly be going to the US and would like to take some with me.I know with Rolex this is a no no and customs have the right to stop you from carrying more than 1 Rolex into the US if they catch you.
Super Avenger has taken in water! =(
Hello everyone,I'm really bummed and would like your comments and knowledge on this.Last night I decided to put my SA on a leather strap, and proceeded to remove the bracelet. When I did so, I noticed the watch was a bit dirty between the lugs, so I washed it with a bit of soap at the bathroom sink. Before doing this, I made completely sure the crown was fully screwed in. After the wash, I dried the watch with a towel AND some soft toilet paper. After this, I unscrewed the crown to wind the watch and set the right time and date. All went well and my SA looked terrific on leather. This morning, however, after wearing the watch out in the sun, I noticed condensation underneath the crystal! Needless to say my heart sank. The condensation actually formed in the shape of the chronographs and hands. The only way I can imagine water may have gotten into the watch is when, AFTER drying the watch with a towel AND toilet paper, I unscrewed the crown to set the time and date. Has this ever happen
CK2998 bracelet fitting trouble
I purchased a CK2998 and separately a 1125 bracelet with 560 end links and for the life of me I can't get it installed despite using a burgeon spring bar tweezer. What am I missing, do I need shorter spring bars than those that came with the strap?Christian
Anyone else a maxi case convert?
For the longest time, I couldn't get on board with the 6-digit maxi cases. I thought the lugs were too thick and the crown guards were too large. But that opinion was based mainly on pictures, and the handful of times I tried on maxi cases at an AD. Because of that outlook, my first two Rolex watches were the 14060M and 16710 (which are absolutely great). But that all changed about 3-4 weeks ago when I picked up a BLNR. Despite the maxi case, I couldn't resist the beautiful bezel and figured if I couldn't get used to the maxi case, the BLNR would be easy to sell. Now that I've had a few weeks of wrist time with the maxi case, it doesn't bother me one bit and I actually really like it. The difference in lug thickness between the cases seems much larger in pictures than it does in real life. Anyone else here start out opposed to the maxi cases and now your opinion has changed?
Tudor Black Bay Black Incoming
Hey guys and gals,Just wanted to share my recent incoming of the black bay black. I owned the black bay red eta but px'd it in 2015 to get my DJII which I still own and love. But recently I started to miss the black bay and was after the black eta version but realised getting a new one was harder than I thought so I settled for the newer version. The black is a real versatile piece and went for it on the leather as I don't like the riveted bracelet. And the in-house with 3 days PR is a huge bonus so very happy! Thanks for looking :) M.
