Maitres du Temps Chapter Two Watch: The Triple Date
The second watch from the still new Maitres du Temps watch brand is the Chapter Two (which of course has followed the Chapter One). The term "triple date" comes from the fact that the calendar features, 1) the day, 2) date,? and 3) month. Interestingly enough, the watch went from ultra complex, to something more simple and live-with-able' on a daily basis. While the Chapter One is a beautiful and decadent masterpiece of form and complexity, the Chapter Two is more akin to a nice looking watch that won't intimidate people seeing you wear it as much - as I have always felt the Chapter One is more like a watch made for royalty. The same basic dimensions for the case are used, but somehow the look is totally different. A fact that really has to do with the dial looking different more direct on function, and not as showy with the complications. See my discussion of the Maitres du Temps Chapter One watch here, which I did enjoy a great deal. The Chapter One/Two watch cases are still some o
5711R or 5780AR?
i already have a 5712R and could pick up a 5980AR in a month or so. yesterday my patek dealer asked me whether i wouldn't prefer a 5711R over the 5980AR. i was already going to get the 5711R a couple of months ago but defaulted on it when the 5712R became available...not sure now....help is certainly appreciated. funny though, i find watch buying decisions very difficult and tend to go back and forth many times. maybe i have not developed a distinctive taste yet but working on it....other watches on order: 5760G and 5524G. next year though.cheers peter
where to buy a new Patek? Paris - Geneva - London - Wempe
Hi,im new here in the Forum, but not so new with Patek. MY first Patek i bought on the Bond Street, it was a 5167A-001 after that i bought a second one in London, also Patek Boutique on the Bond Street 5711/1A-010This year i was in Paris and i bought the 5164A-001Some nice pics you will find here instagram/ve3rstand/now i want to buy a 5980R or the 5980/1Ai told paris an london to put me on the waiting list for the 5990 :)i have the prices here from the PP Boutique in London and also Paris.London is too expensive, the GBP is too high, compared to the EURO, so i have a price difference from 5k EURO for the 5980Rdoes anyone have a price list from Patek in Geneva? What about Wempe for example? I called yesterday Wempe in Vienna, but it was late, they told me, they will call me back on monday and tell me what nautilus models they have on stock. Many thanks, and have a nice rest sunday.
Portofino
Hey everyone!Has anyone been to the Florence Italy boutique? Ill be there in 3 weeks and wanted to see if anyone had anything to say about it... Ill hopefully be picking up my first Panerai (PAM000) and a few straps. So I was wondering what to maybe expect going straight to the PAM motherland instead of an AD or US boutique. Think they would offer any discount to get the ''tourist'' to buy a watch?Or perhaps a multi watch deal? (if the price is right a friend of mine might have me pick up one for him also)thanks everyone.
