Unloved by many who think of themselves as real watch lovers, the G-Shock is very much loved by those who need a watch that will put up with the very roughest use the very roughest and most dangerous jobs can dish out. G-Shocks are worn by more than a few hipsters and would-be hipsters these days, but they're also worn by the thousands by police officers, firefighters, special forces operators, regular Army guys and gals �C you name it. A $150 Tough Solar G-Shock will last basically indefinitely and will as for absolutely nothing in return for flawless performance other than that you don't expose it to a nuclear explosion. So what the heck is Casio doing in offering a $6,200 G-Shock

Vintage Omega Seamaster Repair
Hey guys! Long time, no see I'm looking for a talented watchmaker to refurb a vintage Omega Seamaster Chrono that I want to present as a gift to a friend. I'm the best man in his wedding, and the watch was originally his father's, which he purchased in the 70's. Anyway, it's a VERY cool-looking piece, pictures of which are attached. Naturally the most important thing to me would be to get it back up and running. Nothing about that seems like it would be a problem, but from my understanding it's been several years since the watch was in working condition. My second priority would be to keep the watch in its original parts as much as possible, though I fully admit that's far less important than having the watch fully functional and looking clean again. My question to you all is, do you have any recommendations for skilled Omega watchmakers? They'd almost definitely need a parts account, as I'm sure some of the gears, gaskets and other workings are old, worn out, or otherwise needi

My First Rolex Purchase | Any Advice Much Appreciated
Hello everyone, this is my first ever post on this forum and any advice/opinions will be taken on board. I put a deposit on a 2016 no date submariner last week and will be going to finally see it and possibly collect it depending if I'm happy with everything. I'm based in a small town in Australia so I'm travelling to see this watch. Due to the market in Australia at the moment and limited supply been sold I''m paying a very high premium for this piece, it's from a well recongised second hand dealer. A few things I want to ask:Is it to late to negoitate the final price that was on the website? I quickly rushed into throwing a deposit down because they are selling like hotcakes and didn't want to miss out. Secondly been my first rolex I really wanted to have a complete set, meaning manuals and outer white box/swing tag. Just because it would be nice and something Id like. I believe it only comes with the Green box and warranty papers, Apart of me feels like for the price I'm paying thes
