Introducing The New Baume & Mercier Clifton Complete Calendar, A Vintage Inspired Triple Calendar For Under $5,000
Baume & Mercier has really been hitting its stride the past couple of years, fitting in comfortably as the most affordable brand in the Richemont stable. But don’t mistake affordable for boring. B&M has been looking to its past for design inspiration, a strategy we wholeheartedly endorse - remember the Capeland Flyback from 2011? One piece that impressed us at SIHH was the new Clifton Complete Calendar, which is a complete dead ringer for a 1950s Baume & Mercier. The Clifton Complete Calendar features a Dubois-Dupraz movement that displays the month, the day, and the phase of the moon (called a “poetic” complication by B&M design chief, Alexandre Peraldi) in dial apertures, as well as the date, which is pointed to by a central hand. 2 OF 3 Clifton Complete Calendar With Blue Dial Speaking of the dial, the Clifton Complete Calendar can be had with a beautiful sunburst silvery white dial with gold markers or in deep blue with silver mar
AP ROO Novelty 44mm Rose Gold or New 42mm Rose Gold on strap?
If you could ONLY have one which would you chose? The 44MM rose gold novelty with ceramic bezel OR the new 42mm rose gold with mustard dial on strap?Which would hold more value and why would you choose it?Wrist shots are greatly appreciated.
Finally got an Omega! Pics!
So after a lot of debating back and forth (and getting the permission of the wife :P) I finally decided to splurge and purchased my first Omega and join the Omega community. I ended up buying the AT2500 with the White Dial/Blue hands and I'm not the least bit disappointed. It seems like this particular version is quite hard to find especially with the box and papers and only comes up for sale once in a while but I was quite lucky to have found one for sale on another forum :)On to the pics!
Speedmaster Timekeeping - Seriously Impressed!
Hey all,So, I've had the Speedmaster Pro now for nearly 5 months - thoroughly enjoying wearing it, and it's been incredibly hard to get off my wrist! Love the size, love the weight, love its understated charm. And I now have another reason to love it! I don't normally pay too much attention to timekeeping, as long as I'm not having to alter the time every other day, I'm reasonably happy! I don't know what prompted me to do it (probably boredom during a quiet moment), but I thought I would set it to GMT, and see how it was getting on. Well, several days down the line, it has gained just 1 second. 1 second for a non-chronometer rated watch! I was seriously, seriously impressed - I guess Omega must have sprinkled some fairy dust on mine when they were regulating it Just thought I would share,Chris
Panerai prices have increased in the UK
I was having a look at prices on the Watches of Switzerland website and saw there's been an increase on those that I recognised. The 533 has gone from ?10,200 to ?10,800 and both the 312 and 359 have increased from ?5,600 to ?6,100. Whilst in the OP boutique here in Singapore yesterday, the prices were the same as when I bought my pair three months ago.
