MMT 'Horological Smartwatch' Platform Ties Switzerland To Silicon Valley
Ever since the smartwatch became a thing, I have been preaching that companies need to pool their resources and talents to create something that consumers want. A new type of smartwatch platform called MMT (Manufacture Modules Technologies) was just announced out of partnership between a series of companies both in Switzerland and in Silicon Valley. This isn't a big deal just because it means the small but crowded smartwatch market has a new face, but because, in my opinion, it represents a wise step in the right direction of how the Swiss luxury watch industry needs to integrate itself into the smartwatch world. Welcome to the MMT electronic watch movement family and the Horological Smartwatch.Peter Stas, CEO of Frdrique Constant / Alpina, wearing the Frdrique Constant Horological Smartwatch Reference FC-285V5B4Who is behind MMT? Speedmaster 3570.50.00 bracelet question
I have a Speedmaster 3570.50.00 bracelet question. I noticed some models come with screws to adjust bracelet and also near the lugs are one screw on each side. Others use pins. Is this a running change or only on other ref: Speedys?ThanksDCG
How Long For PO Chrono To Return From Repair?
I sent my Planet Ocean Chronograph in last week for repair. The watch was acting funky to say the least. Keep time, stop running, complications would sometimes work etc. From what I understand they have had problems with this movement so I was not shocked. I just want to get a rough idea of the ETA. since this will hopefully fund another piece. BTW: Does Omega send the watch back polished?
Service Issue
Recently I have had my Yacht-Master serviced. It's a 2002 model F serial number and was purchased used in 2011. I noticed that there were scratches on the bezel, but it never bothered me. Seven years later I send it in to be serviced due to a vibration that was felt when I shook my wrist to adjust its position. When I got it back I see they had polished the bezel and I can't make my mind up if it is something that bothers me or not. I'm hesitant to say anything but I'm not exactly happy. I will see if I can add before as well as after photographs. Any opinion on the matter is greatly appreciated. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Datejust 41mm but which dial?
I have got a hankering to own/wear the new 41mm Datejust but I am unsure on which dial colour to go for!I have tried them all on and these were my observations.Blue Dial, looks great and I love the way that it changes colour under a different light. Is it a harder colour to get hold off?Black Dial, is not a solid black, when compared to my Sub, but instead has a slight grey tint to it.Rhodium Dial, looks amazing, but I am unsure if the dial reflects too much.White Dial, sadly to me on a 41mm looks too much.Silver Dial, was not one that I was keen on.Which dial did you choose and why?Photos are always welcome.Once I have sorted that problem out, I then need to choose between fluted or smooth and Jubilee or Oyster
