GIVEAWAY: Get Diving Certification With Oris Watches & watches-dealer In Grand Cayman
This month on watches-dealer, we'd like to invite a lucky winner to join us learning to scuba dive and getting a diving certification courtesy of Oris watches. The winner will join us to the Island of Grand Cayman in the Caribbean Sea, located just south of Cuba and to the west of Jamaica. This will be an exclusive opportunity to experience the world of diving in a world-class venue with one of our favorite Swiss "tool watch" brands. Oris produces a handsome selection of professional divers' watches, and because we happen to love dive watches, we felt it was a good idea to explore them in their natural environment: under the water. Please note that this giveaway is open to US readers only, as per Oris' policy, as this trip is sponsored by Oris USA. The winner will receive an all-inclusive five night trip with airfare, hotel, and meals, along with an open water diving certification course in Grand Cayman C and you'll be joined by an watches-dealer team member. During that time, you'll be
RSW Outland Automatic Watch Ditches Hands For Disc 'Digilog' Display
One of the boutique yet clever watch makers, RSW (Rama Swiss Watches), brings forth an interesting offering; The RSW Outland Automatic. RSW, whose name and logo font remind me of the shoe store line DSW, has solidified itself among those watch makers inventing modern futurism. Most RSW watches honestly don't make a huge amount of sense to me. It is easy to craft language applauding their unique styling and bold appearance, but I am not entirely convinced the style will be lasting. On the other hand, I certainly have to compliment RSW's ability to intrigue me.The Outland utilizes an idea I actually considered some time ago using revolving disks to indicate the time rather than hands. With out major modification to a standard movement, you can have rotating discs that act as digital rather than analog indicators. If the concept of digital and analog is not clear to you, the idea is that digital shows something through abstract representation, while analog "looks like what it is." Here th
Reliable to buy from Chrono24 ?
Hi guysAnyone bought APs off chrono24 ? Saw a ladies ROO with diamonds going at around 12,500 euros. Way under what I get quoted around in Asia( hovers typically around 16,000 euros). The seller is supposedly a trusted seller. Just sniffing around for feedback as I know if the deal too good to be true, it ain't true.Appreciate feedback or PMsRgdsZymol
A Week on The Wrist ... (Incoming PP 5146G-001)
I've had this watch for over a week now but I eventually wanted to do a formal 'incoming' thread.Up until now I've only purchased Omegas but in early 2014 I started to look at other brands including NOMOS and Rolex. The thought of purchasing a Patek Philippe in my early thirties never even entered my mind as a possibility. It wasn't until I was about to pull the trigger on a Rolex GMTII as my fourth watch that I started to question if I really wanted it or if I would rather bank it towards a PP. I'm not a fan of having a large watch collection so forsaking all other 'fun' but most likely temporary watches for a quality watch from PP seemed like an easy decision to make (thanks Jorge). For my first PP I narrowed down the models to 5146G or 5396G (interestingly enough, a few other members were also deciding between these or similar models so it was fun gleaning from their threads). I was initially NOT a fan of the 5146G month/day counters and power reserve indicator and so decided on the 5
