Blancpain Villeret 2014 Watch With Enamel Dial And 8 Days Of Power
As a pre-Baselworld 2014 announcement Blancpain will release a lovely new dress watch simply called the Villeret that we feel fits into that rare category of a daily-wear formal timepiece. Watches that work as regular daily wear watches must successfully combine versatile style, convenience, comfort, and of course utility. Most of these timepieces tend to be sport watches, and dress watches such as the Rolex Datejust or President that are good for daily wear are a bit less common. So why is the attractive 2014 Villeret a good choice for daily use?First of all, the watch starts with a new for 2014 Blancpain movement called the Caliber 1335. This builds on top of the caliber 1315, which Blancpain uses in most of its three-hand movement-based timepieces. We recently presented a hands-on review of the Blancpain Fifty Fathoms that uses a caliber 1315, which is an automatic with five days of power reserve. The orange dial of the Glashutte Seashark Chrono is framed by a unidirectional rotating bezel featuring the silvered tachometer scale. Its bold look is completed with luminescent hands and hour-markers, as well as hour, minute and seconds counters positioned at 2, 10 and 6 o'clock respectively. The date window is found at 6 o'clock.
Bring a Loupe: Two Tri-Compax From Universal Geneve, A Great Longines 30CH, And A Very Rare Rolex
This week's Bring A Loupe will offer you a combination of vintage chronographs and dress watches from Longines, Rolex, and Vacheron Constantin. And because you usually love Universal Geneve chronos, today you will actually find two of them! This is your Bring A Loupe for October 16, 2015. A Chronograph From Longines With The Famous 30CH Movement, Reference 6651 1 OF 12 The 30CH from Longines belongs to the small group of mythical chronograph movements, along with its predecessor, the 13ZN – the first flyback movement developed for a wristwatch back in the 1930s. The 30CH was produced until the mid-1960s, which makes this 1967 chronograph one of the last manufactured. The dial and luminous numerals display the kind of patina that make vintage watches so sexy. While I could not find much information about the 6551 reference, this 36 mm watch was properly listed in Longines archives. It comes with a Longines certificate and a vintage box; the latter is not n
Nautilus
First time trying on a Nautilus and...wow!I must say, I now understand the love this model gets from the watch community. It wears so svelte and that bracelet is beyond comfortable.I wish I could justify the rose gold as it is really amazing in person, but I'm not quite there yet.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Thoughts on the 6000g
Hello everyone. I was hoping to hear some opinions from everyone on this watch. I need a dress watch. Something about this watch really appeals to me. Thanks in advance.
