The History Of Dive Watches
There are many things we take for granted when speaking about modern timepieces, and one of those is water resistance. There are no "water proof" watches, as that implies water would not be able to enter them under any circumstances, so we use the term "water resistant." The history of water resistant watches really began in the 1920s, but it was not until later that the serious water resistant diving watch came into existence. Today dive watches are the most popular type of sport watch, not necessarily because people use them to dive, but because of their style, promise of durability, and utilitarian value.Regardless of whether one pays a few hundred or several thousand dollars for a watch, they rightfully expect reliability, accuracy, and comfort. Having said that, we are rarely reminded of just how much time it took wristwatches to transform from fragile pieces of art into workhorse instruments that can put up with most of the challenges we expose them to during our daily lives. Gives the vortex of 1 Lange something real classy.
A little difficult to say here, but it is applied in the Centre of the part of the watch of the dial face. Gives the vortex of 1 Lange something real classy. Inside of the watch is a L961.2 manufactured internally wound manually the tourbillon movement. The asymmetric dial a time with a small second subsidiary dial, big date ("out-size") and power reserve indicator. Really superb with exposed tourbillon mechanism. Honey gold does not look good with the Brown alligator strap?
Timegrapher
Hooked up my 15202ST 0944ST to a timegrapher...Is it safe to say that I can hold off on servicing for a bit longer? It's an F series and 10 years old, never been serviced.Note : I borrowed the timegrapher from a friend. Anyone have the Frederique Constant Analytics? I was thinking about picking one of those up to measure and track the accuracy of my watches.https://frederiqueconstant/analytics/(I have no affiliation of FC - just curious if it's worth the money)

Which one of these for a "beater"?
I'm scared to wear vintage Rolex in the water. I need something that I can wear when I cant wear something vintage. That being said, there are two Omegas Im in love with but at a bit of a crossroads....I have a NOS dial for a 3510.21. I'd have to buy a donor watch and swap the dial but this can be done for prob $1200-$1300. I LOVE the look of this watch. I dont care that it may be a Franken. It is my Poorman's 6263.On the other hand, I would love a 42mm Omega PO 2500. It is a bit more expensive (~$2300-$2500?) and it does resemble my 16800 Sub but it is a gorgeous watch. I really think this will be a classic in 20 years.
