On Thursday June 10 bidders watched as Antiquorum’s New York Spring Sale generated $4,511,268. The auction room was filled and 420 bidders registered online. Eighty-three percent of the 364 lots offered were sold, and 114% were sold by value based on the low estimates. Bids came in from Italy, the Netherlands, China, Israel, the Russian Federation, Japan, and the United States. The highlight of the sale was a Patek Philippe ref. 5104. The platinum minute-repeater with skeletonized dial (lot 363) had not previously been offered for sale, and it included the original fitted winding box. Following competition among room, online and telephone bidders, it went to a private collector for $576,000. Patek Salon in Shanghai
Wuz so looking forward to visiting (for the first time) as it's the only place in Shanghai that showcase PP. What disappointment - when we arrived, the security guy was very rude and shouting at people taking photos outside the building, no a/c inside and sweating my ass off, collection so small not a single Nautilus or grand complication to view and their is no service level at all. Goodness...what a difference compared to the salon in Geneva. No wonder all the mainlanders are flocking to CH and HK to buy.

G'day everyone... Anyone know for sure what is the MSRP for 5980/1r-001? Normally what sort of discount do PP give on these all gold model? I am asking since this is not a normal high complication model even thou it is very rare at this moment of time since it's launch few months earlier after the '13 Basel.. Is is fair to assume this will be a uncommon choice in the future or it will be very popular since there will no longer be a SS version available? Thank you all for your kind patience and cheers! j
