Looks like a liquidmetal or ceramic speedie? The reflective dial reminds me a lot of the liquidmetal PO..youtube/watch?v=KNv88...ature=youtu.be
Any Pics Of Aquanauts With Wear?
All the torture with these beautiful incoming 5167a's has me wondering what a well-loved/ scratched up/ worn Aquanaut looks like. Now I accept that most owners are fairly careful with their $20k wrist adornments, but I have seen such 5711's. And honestly a worn and scratched 5711 is not a pretty sight in my opinion.Does a worn and scratched Aquanaut look as bad as that 5711 I saw?
Seeking to buy my third watch - Voting
Received my first Patek Philippe 5712r few days ago, as it is a blind purchase I was quite satisfy with it and have no regret at all as this sexy beauty never left my wrist. Moving on, as I have been decided to own just three perfect watches in my collection, I am now trying to come up with few choices for my third watch.1. Patek Philippe 5396r2. A. Submersible tolerances
Does anyone know at what depth Rolex tests their movements to say that at 1000 feet or 4000 feet, the watch can reliably timekeep?I can’t imagine that at 4050 feet, a Sea Dweller stops functioning or at 1020 feet a Sub ceases to work. There has to be some percentage cushion built in. Also, does anyone know if Rolex actually submerges the movement or do they, using some equipment and technology, replicate the pressure and conditions experienced at that ocean depth ...These are more geek questions than anything and because someone I know recently asked “how can you be for sure that the watch will function nearly a mile undersea?”Thanks.
