Update: Patek Philippe’s Henry Graves Watch Sells for $24 Million at Sotheby’s
The world’s most expensive watch ever sold at auction retained that lofty title at a Sotheby's auction on November 11, which coincided with the 175th anniversary celebration of its maker, Patek Philippe. The so-called Henry Graves Supercomplication, a pocketwatch made by Patek Philippe in 1933, is the most famous watch in the world and has the distinction of being the most complicated watch ever made completely by human hands. Its reappearance on the auction block, 15 years after it became the most expensive watch ever sold at auction, came in the same year that Patek Philippe commemorates 175 years of making watches. Estimated at more than 15 million Swiss francs (about $15.5 million), the watch sold for $23,983,140 to an anonymous buyer at Sotheby’s Geneva sale of Important Watches.?Discussing the sale of the Henry Graves Supercomplication prior to the auction, Tim Bourne, Sotheby's worldwide head of watches, and Daryn Schnipper, chairman of Sotheby's watch division,

No (wallpaper) love for the Constellation?
Aloha! Been browsing today. (1) A comment: Whoever SLRDude and Croco are, you guys do really amazing images. I am really impressed.(2) A question: Why no love for the Constellation? Are there any wallpapers out there for the Connie? (3) Why the connie? No offense to the rest of you fine folks, but I am a little on the small side (5'9, 160) and the Seamasters and other men's watches and such fit me like a manhole cover. (For the record, my other watch is a Tag 2000 series, mid 1990s, long live Ayrton Senna!). So, fortunately for me, most watches out there are just too big.(3) Anyone up to the challege for the Connie wallpaper?
How the 5167 dial is made ..?
Anyone have any info on the making of the 5167 dial? How Patek finishes it to be able to look so dynamic under so many different lightning conditions? I heard that it takes Patek quite some time to make the 5167 dial ... I can't seem to find anything online supporting this though ... Would love any insight if you have it!Thanks!
