The longer one spends around the watch collecting world, the more one tends to be interested in early watches – typically those that pre-date the "modern era." What I mean by that is there is a clear division with many brands – Rolex, Omega, and Heuer, for example, all began naming watch lines in the 1950s and '60s: the Submariner, Speedmaster, Carrera, et al. But, the watches that came before these great lines of horology existed are fascinating not only because of their relative obscurity, but also because of their purity in design. Appropriate attire for 44 ROO RG
Just recently acquired my first AP... the 26401 ROO 44 mm in rose gold. Having a bit of a difficult time figuring out with what I can wear this watch. I'd like to wear it all the time for the next several months and be able to show it off. I realize it's more of a sports watch... but it's so blingy... would it be acceptable to wear with a sports jacket or how about even a tuxedo? Anyway I want to wear it everywhere... so having a bit of a dilemma...

Hello all,Medium term lurker and first time poster! I find myself in a bit of a quandry and was keen to gauge some general opinion by calling upon the collective wisdom of the forum.I currently have a stainless/yellow gold bimetal daytona (ref 116523, black dial) which I purchased a month or so ago with a view to it being a daily wear (work in an office, wear a suit).To be honest I rushed into the purchase and have found I don't love the watch, mainly due to the bimetal aspect - I find it lacks a bit of versatility, and is perhaps too flash for everday work wear (meeting clients), and not flashy enough to be really special that only comes out a couple of times a month.....As such I have decided to trade it for a stainless daily wearer, and then save up for something else for weekend wear/special occasions (something in Rose Gold or White Gold, love the Daytona ref 116515 LN).My initial thought process was simply trade it for a stainless Daytona.
