ArtyA Son Of Sound: The High-End Guitar Watch
In the last year Swiss art watch brand ArtyA has transformed itself from extremely avant garde "creative" watches to something like this guitar head-shaped Son of Sound collection. The brand was once about just creating totally one-of-a-kind watches that combined the work of an artist and watch maker. The "piece unique" moniker was more a result of that production style versus an effort. For example if you take a steel case and "deface" it (as founder Yvan Arpa liked to say) with electricity and machines by hand, no two cases are going to look alike (i.e. "piece unique"). Thematically, ArtyA watches contained everything from fossilized dinosaur feces to human blood and actual butterfly wings.Meeting with Mr. Arpa is always (always) a treat. But the lack of cohesion in his collection or offer of regular models made ArtyA a very difficult brand to cover. Then the Son of a Gun collection?came around and things sort of started to change. ArtyA found a collection that it could really build
Issues logging into AP account
I can't seem to log in to my AP account. I had registered my watch but wanted to make sure it had 5 years and not just the 3 years. Now it's saying the credentials don't match their records. Anybody else have this problem?thanks
APBands conversion kit for 15400
Hey guys,A quick questions for the experts out there. I've searched for a while before making this post, found some answers but not all. Here is my dilemma;Have a Royal Oak 15400 41mmHave the APBANDS RO conversion linksHave an OEM croc strap from a 15300 (39mm?)So the APBANDS links fit and screw into my 15400 just fine. The problem I'm having is the fitment to the 15300 Croc strap. It's almost as if the little notch that sits inside the OEM strap insert is ever so slightly too long.My question is: Does this 15300 strap that I have differ in any way from an OEM strap I should be using for my 15400 model?? It ALMOST fits, seems as though it is .5mm or so off when attempting to push the lug bar through the strap/links. Any help would be appreciated
Question about face of watch on 2018 Submariner Date
Hi Guys/Gals,I just purchased my first Rolex! I went with the Submariner Date since I've wanted one for a LONG time, plus it's the most versatile watch on the planet. The only thing I don't like is that it's the most copied watch known to man, lol.For this reason, I chose to buy it from an AD (London Jewelers) so I can be 100% sure that it is authentic. My question is about the writing on the face. I noticed that the part where it says 1000ft=300m the = sign is tight with no spacing, but on Rolex's site, the picture of the Sub shows a significant amount of space between the numbers and the = sign. There is a video that I saw on youtube that shows how to determine a fake, and mine looked like the fake!!! (I'm confident that it isn't)My watch is supposedly a fresh batch 2018 watch. Did Rolex change the print style from 2017, to 2018 (and use the old photo on their site)? Or do they make several versions for the same year? Can anyone please explain why there are these differences in th
I asked my question wrong based on TRF rules sorry
So i just asked a value question about a Daytona and it was deleted. After reading the rules I understand why. My apologies. Let me try this a different way. After researching a daytona ceramic SS I see the asking prices are a good bit above MSRP, my question is are these asking prices realistic to what they are actually SELLING for? Thanks!
