Omega Celebrates The Speedmaster And The 45th Anniversary Of Apollo 13
As I sit in the lounge awaiting a non-stop flight to Houston, I can't help but contrast the banality of my upcoming flight against the razor's edge reality of flying an Apollo mission. I'll be flying in a modern aircraft, ferried from one computer-controlled terminal to another, in relative comfort. The risks are negligible and my "training" can be effectively ignored for about three minutes as the plane taxis to the correct runway. Once underway, my only duties are to relax, read a book and likely eat more food and drink more coffee than my hunger warrants. To force the term, my "mission" is to act as cargo for roughly four and a half hours until arriving in Houston, wherein Omega has invited me to a celebration of Apollo 13, the Omega Speedmaster, and a few of the actual people that ferried their iconic chronograph into the final frontier and then relied upon its mechanical capabilities to bring them home.In contrast, by the time they made it to their mission, Apollo astronauts were

Anyone else agree with me that 15202st is essentially not worth the premium unless money was no object?Before I finish this thought, let me just say that I find the 15202st to be absolutely sublime and amazing in every way. But for comparison's sake. Here's what you can buy with 20k.1. a mint conditioned vintage sub (or a subc if you prefer modern) + 15300 blue2. some combination of a sub + a 26300 panda chrono (a sublime watch in its own right)3. a precious metal rolex (RG daytona jumps to mind)4. 20,000 cheeseburgers

Previously released and out of production models
Does anyone knows of a website that list and catalogs with pictures and details of AP's ( and for that matter any brands ) previously released and out of production models? I know AP website only show their current models but these older watches often pop up in pre-own market.

To Patina or Not!!
I have been looking for a stainless Sub for everyday.I keep seeing some of the older 16610's that have some patina on dual and hands that I find very appealing.
