To be perfectly honest it is hard to write about a $35 watch after you have been writing about $35,000 watches. On the one hand, it is hard to be fair to the $35 watch, and on the other hand it is hard to make a case to the $35 watch market for a $35,000 watch that itself may just tell the time. In writing this review I needed to metaphorically step back a few paces and review the Timex Classic Camper as though it were in a vacuum. I actually like the watch for what it is - a dead simply, sort of retro themed, basic timepiece. No frills, nothing fancy, and easily disposable if need be. Cheap, not very big, and a watch. Hi there!I am thinking of a wedding anniversary gift for my ever so loving wife and thought of giving her a watch for this milestone in our lives.A little background:My wife is a corporate lawyer so she spends most of her days in the office or board room working on mergers etc. but despite my wife's aggressive nature of work she is very feminine and it reflects on how she dresses and how she carries herself. Her requirements in a watch is that it must have a date, must be a white or light colored dial. the Calatrava & twenty4 collection might be out.I am looking at the nautilus collection and picked this two out and would like to here your opinion on it. Was at an AD in NH today to get a bracelet sized on my Sub ND and had the opportunity to try this on...wow after feeling the weight of the platinum, the SS Sub felt dinky!!
