Breitling’s New Wave Superocean
After conquering the skies, in 1957 Breitling set course for the sea with the launch of the original Superocean, equipped with a highly readable dial, armored glass, and a monohull case watertight to 200 meters or 660 feet – quite a feat for the time. Originally designed for professional and military divers, the watch soon developed a following among enthusiasts and leisure divers. At Baselworld, Breitling launched the latest Superocean with an entirely new design. The 42mm stainless steel case is water resistant to 1500 meters or 5000 feet. They are most likely producing the same to less. yes there are many more 5140 than 5208 but 2100 piece per year of their fl

My dad turns 75 this year and to mark the occasion I'm thinking about giving him a decent watch.I can't decide whether to give him my GMT, or would it be more age appropriate to give him a TT Datejust?
