Watches NEWS
Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso By Zep Watch
I'll be really frank that I have no idea who or what Zep is. I mean I know a bit more now after researching and writing this article, but seeing his little smoke plume-haired character for the first time was a novel experience. I guess it is a Swiss/European thing. WhatTin Tin makes it international but Titeuf and Asterix are Euro only? Having said that, I do love cartoons and comics of all varieties. Something about hand-drawn things that really appeal to me.Zep is the pseudonym of an artist who draws and writer a comic strip series known as Titeuf and is Swiss. I swear, I was not even sure the Swiss were capable of comics and humor until I saw this. Though it is all in French so I don't know what type of humor it is. Can anyone out there comment? I hear he is pretty popular.Zep's real name is Philippe Chappuis, and recently worked with Jaeger-LeCoultre on this one-of-a-kind Zep watch. I think it is pretty cool.. Zep designed the dial and caseback engraving. There is also a special tr
Fois 2017
It has been nearly 5 years since the watch was released after Baselworld 2012. A lot of what Omega are planning for the 60th of the speedy moonwatch has been discussed and speculated over the last few months.I was wondering if anything will be announced for the FOIS for 2017. Last year's CK2998 was a limited edition so was not readily available. I would love to see a similar colour change for the current FOIS. So discontinue the black dial and bring out another numbered version of the panda with the white dial would be my perfect watch. This could make it a decent and viable option for those seeking a smaller speedy but don't want to go down the racing/reduced route.
42 vs 45.5 PO
I am really going around with what option I like better between the 42mm case and the 45.5mm case Planet ocean. Are there any differences in the lines, look, etc other than the size difference?
Hard to speak......
my final incoming..... initial impressions:i love the slate gray dial. it is stunningly beautiful. i love that is has nice lume. the watch feels very substantial. not like my sub, but very substantial never the less.the bracelet is a work of art. love that it has a fold over clasp.the watch appears to be a super blend of class, sport and style. i really think this is a do everything watch. i won't be rock climbing with it, nor going to the gym, but i will be at the beach this weekend, and it will be with me. i have not sized it yet, but it feels amazing......it appears to be the perfect size for my wrist. not too big, not too small, but just perfect. will get it sized tonight. more impressions will follow. thanks all for helping me with this process. i absolutely feel like i can wear this everyday. i probably won't, but i like the fact that i can.
