Arnold & Son’s HMS1 Collection Strives for Classical Elegance
Arnold & Son, the Swiss watch brand based in La Chaux-de-Fonds and named for 18th-century London watchmaker John Arnold, has released a new collection of elegantly simple watches called HMS1. The name harks back to John Arnold’s history as a supplier of marine chronometers to the British Royal Navy. The quartet of new watches includes two in stainless steel cases, with a white or anthracite dial ($9,885 and $10,095, respectively); one in an 18k rose gold case with an anthracite dial ($15,165); and one in an 18k white gold case with a silver-colored dial ($16,640). Got my Ling serviced..
So, I sent my chronomat longitude in for it's first overhaul and refinishing..Set me back about 700 USD. Bear in mind that I sent my watch in probably two to three months ago. I barely wore it, maybe once a month, and now finally I'm wearing it every day at work (banker). However, since day one of getting it back the unidirectional bezel rotates both ways, is quite loose (not like when I bought it -- was tight), even sticking my hand in my pocket causes the bezel to move which is rather annoying. Before my overhaul and servicing with the watch fully wound, the charge would only last maybe 8-10 hours after storing the watch. Unfortunately the watch is still not holding a charge very long.. If I take the watch off and store it in its box Friday, the following Sunday I'm winding and resetting the time and date. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced similar issues. I was told for the money paid, all my concerns (which are aforementioned and then some) would be addressed. Seems like

Black to White Daytona ratio
Looking in usual for sale areas - ebay, chrono24 etc. I notice a ratio of at least 2 black Daytona's to every 1 white is this because there are more black Daytona's and white are rarer or that white holders keep hold of their watches and don't flip as often?
