Watches NEWS
New watches-dealer Website For 2014
Welcome to a new look and feel for the watches-dealer watch blog website. We enter what is perhaps the fifth overall version of the site and the second major design to use the watches-dealerwatches-dealer (versus older aBlogtoReadwatches-dealer name). One of the notable small changes is that the new version of watches-dealer removes the "formerly aBlogtoRead" label we once had in the header. Even though many industry people still like to call us "aBlogtoRead," the name is part of our history. With the new for 2014 watches-dealer website we offer a lot of improvements both visually and behind the scenes. Before discussing what's new and helping to orient our audience to the new experience I'd like to offer thanks. None of this would have been possible without our dedicated technical and assistance team that includes technical lead Kristin Kramer, talented programmer Keith Freedman, master art director Matt Smith-Johnson, and master of social media and jack-of-all-trades Zen Love.I also w
Do you buy property insurance for your watches?
I have recently insured my watches. The annual cost is about 1/100 of the watch purchased price. Do you think it worths?
Nautilus 3800
Need some input on the 3800 in SS. Tried to search a bit about the size but couldnt find any pics that compare the size to a Rolex or a AP RO for example. So how does it wear compared to a RO 14790 or a 36mm DJ?Anything else i should keep in mind when considering a 3800?
Panerai Help
I need help picking out my next Panerai and I am out of the loop. I like the 389 and the 335 so far upon preliminary research....But I have not been following Panerai for several years so a crash course about which models out there might meet my criteria and any suggestions would be great!44mm or largerMust be in house and NOT manual windI prefer the 1950 case Ceramic, titanium, steel or gold is fine I LOVE chronographs but not sure any Pam ones are out there with in house?Obviously doesnt need to be chronographAny help would be greatly appreciated!
Negotiable pricing?
I'm obviously very new here and to the world of Rolex. I currently own a TAG Calibre 5, and I am getting very close to purchasing my first Rolex, a very basic, and beautiful, Submariner Date in black. It seems like a perfect first Rolex. My question... is there any where to purchase this watch where I can negotiate the selling price? My guess would be no, as I've asked around at several different shops and they all give me the same answer, that it's a professional series piece and they only go for retail. I figured I'd ask here anyways. If anybody knows, I'm sure he's on here somewhere...
