Newbie saying 'HI'
I have always admired Omegas, sold/traded quite a few, but none actually sang to me. Gave my father a Seamaster Chrono for his birthday last year, toyed around with the idea of owning a 45.5 Planet Ocean, but never really pulled the trigger. Wasn't for the lack of opportunity, but rather lack of desire. Until now. When I saw this one, it was love at first sight. Nice and thick (14mm) just the right diameter, incredible legibility, and a moon phase to boot. As a first time Omega owner, I see what the hype is all about. This one is here to stay. Not my pic, on my iPad right now, but I already have several wristshots on my phone, will upload them tomorrow when in front of a (real ) computer. Love to be part of the club. Plus - this Speedy has some stiff competition with the other loved pieces in the ol' collection, but hasn't come off my wrist in the last week. And oddly enough, I love the manual wind. Hello!Two years ago, I adopted a 16610LV, classic with its little acid touch.Seawater, poolwater, shower, I love to get wy watch with me everytime: it follows me everywhere, 24/7.I did not like the patek lines at the first sight.. but I saw yesterday the 5711/1a-011, i.e. white dial nautilus, and loved it.* How do the 324SC compare to the 3135 movement, not in finish, but in long-term reliability and accuracy?* Can the patek follow me everywhere like the sub, despite the fact that it is not a titanium or a 904l watch? (I can not rinse my watch immediatly after bathing in the sea)*Can it dive?*Can we consider the patek as a more low profile watch for travelling?*Is the bracelet as reliable as the sub one?*What is the price of this white dial nautilus?Every information will be read with a lot of pleasure, and every picture will be admired.Thank you a lot!

Disappointed?
Ok, so I'm seeing a lot of dissapointing on this forum concerning the new releases in Basel. But, really, I don't understand it. I mean, what do you expect? Imho, Rolex is a company with products wich are evolving slowly. That's what I appreciate about them. In our 'throw-away/everything is replacable-society' they make an iconic/beyond life-time item. Sometimes it takes time to appreciate. Sometimes they are an instant hit. But they allready made some truly exceptional timepieces with an iconic design. What do you want? That they change rapidly?
