My First Patek (5712)
I picked up my highly anticipated 5712 this week and what an experience. I couldn't be more thrilled with the look and feel of it. It took a year and a half for the call, but it was worth it. The sales experience at the Patek salon was beyond perfect, and I was treated to champagne and an overall purchase encounter befitting of the brand. I was also gifted a patek tie, a travel case, a free service, and a pair of patek gloves. Now back to the watch. It's definitely much lighter and more fragile feeling than I'm accustomed to wearing. But then again I've had one model of Rolex or another on my wrist 99% of the time. It goes without saying that the watch is stunning. The bracelet is among the most comfortable I've ever worn, and the dial changes color depending on the lighting, which is sublime. I'll have more to say after I've had a few weeks worth of wear. Just picked this up yesterday. Made a few phone calls and found one just delivered to AD day before. Was told this is not an easy piece to come by these days. AD also gave me an extra discount which never hurts. Overnighted and delivered today.
