Techne Harrier Ref 392 and 362 Review
Techn is a brand we've been following since we first started worn&wound. Specializing in great looking pilot and aviator watches with even more outstanding prices, they are one of the few brands out there they is as committed to design as they are to quality and value. They also take a no fuss, transparent approach to what they make.Utilizing Asian made movements and cases, they keep their costs down, but not at the expense of quality. They also are willing to try things that many other brands seem scared of, such as using SeaGull ST1901 mechanical chronographs and interesting quartz movements to provide variety without high prices.?Their newest watches, the Harrier series, stay true to the philosophies of the brand while pursuing a more modern aesthetic. Though the older Techn models are clearly present in the new Harriers, one can see how the aesthetic has evolved and become both bolder and cleaner for a more aggressive and contemporary look. Once again, Techn has utilized a c
Basel 2017 Preview and MORE!
Last night I attended a Basel Preview event at Kirk Jewelers (wonderful time and great staff! thank you!). There are live videos and pictures on my IG stories feed if you want to check it out.The night started with a Bang with double platinum wrist time with the 5070P and the 5170P. More on how these compare later. intro.jpgAs a general matter the watches looked great! Surrounded by watches and flowing champagne... hard to go wrong! My thoughts on some of the more popular references:1. the 5170P looks great. The gradient dial is sporty and the diamonds on the dial are quite subtle (you are right KARL).2. 5230G: the case is very nice in fact (a lot has been said about the stamped case) and the steps in the lugs look great! The watch is a bit big for me and the automatic movement in this case is not to my liking. The vintage vibe is strong and I am sure it will be a popular reference.3. 5168: Too BIG! For me at least. I think it would have been better in a 40mm case. But I think Patek i

Las Vegas surprise at last Minute / took my Pam 305
Hello everyone, I just thought I would share my surprise trip to Las Vegas for my family to see Beyonce at the MGM Grand this weekend and more importantly for me to go and shop for watches. Well since it was my birthday this weekend, I told my family that we were all going to an early dinner, but first we had to go pick up my brother at the air port who was here on a lay-over. When we got to the airport, I didn't realize how hard it was to get everyone out of the car to wait for him by the baggage claim (bad cover story) after some yelling, they all agree to wait at starbucks. I had pre-printed the tickets the night before and once in the airport I told them that we were flying to another city to have dinner and that they had to not look at their tickets until we got to the gate. Well the TSA guy almost ruined that, when he asked for everyones ID and tickets, he started to say something about Vegas and I let him in on our little deal.We sat at wolf gang pucks restaurant until ti
PM Daytona Resale
Lets say I went bananas and spent 32k on a brand new PM Daytona. What would it likely to be worth the minute I took the stickers off and put it on my wrist? Are these things like driving a new car off of the lot.............................?Give it to me straight, please!
