AP Quality Control
Hi All, apologies for the following rant, but just needed to vent. Recently I've become quite interested in purchasing a Royal Oak Chronograph. I finally found one yesterday and was ready to pull the trigger, when I noticed a very obvious scratch on one of the sub dials. The sales representative was very embarrassed and apologetic. He took my details and promised to call when they would get the next one in. I was pleasantly surprised to receive a call later in the evening from the store, stating that they were expecting another one in this morning. The rep was extremely helpful and kept the watch sealed until I arrived. He let me open it and even removed the stickers for me to inspect it properly before purchasing. I tested the chronograph, and to my dismay the pusher got jammed, and neither me, the rep or his manager were able to stop or reset the chronograph. It's safe to say I'm really disappointed with my experience with AP so far. I thought I was very lucky to find a stainless ste

New Shoes for ROC
Finally did the conversion today! The AP leather straps are very comfortable to wear, and certainly change the look of ROC drastically in a positive way Had a hard time choosing the style of the straps, but finally settled with the safest and most classical black straps which I believe is versatile for all occasions. What does the Air-King 119600 portend for the future of the Milgauss?
Although the Air-King's bracelet lacks polished links and a welded crown on the clasp, the Air-King sports the same movement and double case as the Milgauss. But for $2,000 less.My question is: what does this mean for the future of the Milgauss? How will Rolex keep interest in the Milgauss at a $2,000 higher price point.My own guess is that Rolex will eventually introduce an improved movement to Milguass, but not on the Air-King.Thoughts?
