Kari Voutilainen Thinks This Young Watchmaker Is Cool, And You Should Too: Rexhep Rexhepi's Akri
What were you doing when you were 14 years old? I was in high school in California, playing lots of soccer and generally getting into trouble. Over in Switzerland, Rexhep Rexhepi was an apprentice at Patek Philippe working on tourbillons. Now he has started his own brand, AkriviA. While AkriviA is young, the brand has already drawn praise. A while back Kari Voutilainen was in NYC for a Q&A event. A question was asked along the lines of, "what young watchmakers are doing interesting things?" Sent by Taptalk from my phone which rather annoyingly and randomly rotates my pictures the wrong way around whenever it takes a fancy. I am sure the damn things got a mind of its own. :-(
What happens if Rolex gives us what we want?
If Rolex decides to flood the market and fill the AD's with Hulks, Batman's, sd43 etc... would that really hurt them? We're talking about arguably the biggest watch company in the world! Would it really hurt them to please their customers and give the people what they want?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Safer Money?
D-Blue or SD50, assuming kept stickers on and in the safe. I'm sure I have the willpower to not wear either, just wondering. Is there another watch that would be better to do this with?
