Jaeger-LeCoultre: Gorgeous New Atmos Clocks
Jaeger-LeCoultre has been producing stunning Atmos clocks for more than 80 years, and at SIHH two new models debuted that continue the tradition. One is a re-edition of a 1930s clock, and the other a contemporary piece in Baccarat crystal designed by Marc Newson. In 1928, the engineer Jean-Lon Reutter devised a clock movement designed to run for several centuries without wearing out or requiring any external intervention. Fascinated by this revolutionary invention, Jaeger-LeCoultre applied its manufacturing capabilities to developing and perfecting the mechanism, and the Atmos clock was born. The Atmos mechanism is a marvel of engineering. It is powered by minute temperature fluctuations. Even a 1 degree Celsius change is enough to provide 48 hours of power reserve. Its annular balance also operates in an amazingly economical manner: by oscillating just two times per minute, its energy consumption is 250 times less than that of a conventional wristwatch. Time Warp Creations Zymosis Lockdown Watch: Easily The Weirdest Thing You've Seen All Week
Time Warp Creations is a watch maker you've probably never heard of, but starting soon, the California-based company will be producing some incredibly odd timepieces, such as this Zymosis Lockdown watch. If this all looks very science-fiction comic book weird, then you are spot on with what Time Warp Creations was going for. TWC?produces a series of comic book style products, and "luxury watches for geeks" are among what they offer. Their "flagship" product is the Time Warp Creations Zymosis Lockdown which is a rather intense looking watch inspired by the science fiction genre of zombie apocalypses - and it happens to come in four color variations.Posted by Time Warp Creations, LLC on Monday, April 28, 2014While you can order the Time Warp Creations Zymosis Lockdown watch on Time Warp Creations' website, the company offers precious little (as some conflicting) information about the product. We are trying to get more details, but until then, I'll explain what I know. First of all, the Z

A Christmas Incoming!
Well, what can I say. This one has been calling my name...ever since I flipped it earlier this year. Not the first time I've flipped this model, but definitely the most painful. Anywho...I did a little shuffling around in the collection and my secret (well, maybe not so secret) Santa Patrick made my Christmas dreams come true. And...since I just had the big 6-0 this month, retired from a second career, and it is well...Christmas, I thought, what better time to make this happen?OK. So in my haste to size it, wrap it and put it under the tree, I forgot to take a pic. Sorry guys. I know how we like pics here. But...I did snap this pic of the aftermath. Hey, better than nothing, right? Check out all the cool stuff Patrick put in his care package. And I promise to share a pic or two when I've opened my present on Christmas Day.
