What Do The Patek Philippe 3582 & The Apple Watch Have In Common?
I've been enjoying the Apple Watch for more than a few days at the time this post was written �C and it has got me thinking a lot about not just the future of electronic wrist watch functionality, but also watch design overall. What I've been most interested in is not only how smartwatch design will continue to evolve, but also what design precedents came before the Apple Watch that either helped inspire it or that it appears to coincidentally resemble.So, with that in mind, I felt it was a good idea to put together this fun little article on the odd similarities between the obscure Patek Philippe Ellipse Ref. 3582 (3582G) and the Apple Watch. I am actually rather convinced Apple was not at all inspired by the Patek Philippe 3582 during the design of the Apple Watch �C so I am not suggesting that this rare Patek Philippe Ellipse is some type of direct design ancestor of the Apple Watch. Nixon Watches Teams Up With The Beastie Boys
Back at Basel 2010 Nixon showed me a few cool watches I was excited to see. They later asked me to not write about them as they were not going to be released. OK, fine. More than a year later and the watches finally show up, Nixon and the partner seemed to work things out. What happened is that these limited edition watches were meant to be released along with the Beastie Boy's new album. The album was delayed, and so was the watch.Now it seems like things are back on track. Over a year later and the album is just now out. The new album is called "Hot Sauce Committee Part Two," and as a big Beastie Boys fan, I look forward to hearing it. The watches will come in four colors (green, blue, red, and white) and each in the same style. Band member Mike D is on the dial and there is a quote and graphic on the strap. AP Movements
Does AP ever supply movements to other companies? Someone said Chanel may use AP movements in some of their watches.Can anyone confirm or deny? And if so, are they standard AP movements or something different?TIA,-Marc

Strap options 15400
Hey Guys, I was in my local AD today and they said a strap wouldn't fit on the 15400 or 26320. Think I remember reading a thread with different strap options, but cannot find it.Has anyone put a strap on theirs and what's involved?Thanks in advance
