New York Times On: Watch Advertising, Obsessive Watch Geeks
It is charming when you have someone who doesn't know a lot about watches do an article on the watch industry. That isn't to say that the journalist erred in their reporting, but rather that there is a degree of naivete to the tone regarding the topic of discussion, which is watch advertising. A lot of people correctly point out that there is a lot of consistency among watch advertising. You see the hands in the same orientation most of the time, and the date often has an "8" in it, or is at 31. The orientation of the hands is usually at about 10:10. Daily Watch - Patek 5980R or AP Arnold Allstars

I am 6ft and 250lbs (115kg)I have recently been offered a straight trade for a like new 48mm Arnold Allstars. What would you suggest for my one and only daily watch?
Would this concern / bother you?
I noticed this small asymmetry in the bracelet-to-case connection. I'm sure this will be a relatively minor thing as the watch ages, but since it's only a week old do you think it's worth showing to folks at the boutique?
Aqua Terra Incoming
Latest addition. I've maintained the Aqua Terra is not only Omegas best looking watch but possibly the best looking watch in modern mass-produced watchmaking. To me, it's perfect.I've owned the grey dial but the opaline has a certain something that makes it sporty and classic at the same time
Aqua Terra Chronograph question
I was playing golf today and sometime during the round, the cap for the chronograph button fell off. To be specific, the reset cap of the chronograph button came off. Any ideas on the best way to get a replacement piece? My watch was not purchased from an AD, so I do not have a factory warranty.
