Mondaine Stop2Go Swiss Railways Watch With 2 Second Delay
I was probably standing at a train station in Switzerland for a half dozen times before I first realized a peculiar thing about the clocks. The design of the clocks has been memorialized in Mondaine watches, and later in Apple devices, as they've "borrowed" the design in some versions of iOS. On a white background, the incredibly legible clocks have black hand hour and minute indicators along with a red seconds hand tipped with a large circle. The strange part is that when the seconds hand reaches "O," it just stops for a full two seconds, and then jumps ahead to keep telling the time.This doesn't mean the clocks run slow. The seconds hand quickly moves to catch up with correct time. So the logical question is why? According to Mondaine, the Swiss SBB Railwaya clocks have been doing this for about 70 years. Diver 15710 - Black vs White
I love the 3120 movement, so I'm kicking around the idea of the RO, or jumping up a bit to the Diver. I already have two white dial watches, so I've been looking at the black 15400 and 15710s, but the white-dialed SS Diver catches my eye too. There seems to be a lot more white ones up for sale, as well.The contrast of the internal bezel on the white dial is a nice touch, too. I'm a fan of his. Magneto, Steve Jobs, Inglourious Basterds. Very cool choice in watch wear, and proof that the aquanaut dresses up just fine. So Rolling Stones cover with McCartney and now Esquire. Good stuff.

HiAfter buying a PAM111 and few months ago a PAM292, I'm thinking about expanding my collection with a new one... Which PAM different than these and will add good diversity to my current two? A chrono? A 1950 case or something else?Please help me Thanks !
