A new friend for my Speedmaster
I think I have all my masters covered now. With my new Speedmaster 9300 and this new Seamaster PO 8500 on rubber, I think I have a pretty respectable one-two punch now. I have had this PO before on bracelet and I have to say I MUCH, MUCH prefer it on the OEM rubber strap.
Would anyone buy this?
Folks,I occasionally like to imagine watches that I wish PP would make, and envision the perfect watch for me. Now, I'm not saying this is it, but the idea popped in my head while considering one of the many threads in which the 5711 is compared to the 5167. So, here it is: What if you took a 5167A case, then fitted with a version of the 5711 blue dial. Then, with the traditional lugs, PP could offer a range of interchangeable (meaning no watch tool required) leather and possibly rubber strap options. Even a ss bracelet for those who were so inclined. Other considerations: should it have Arabic or baton hour markers? Should it have a date window? Thoughts? Just seemed like a fun idea to kick around...
Took the 233 out for a spin
Just picked up my PAM 233 from service in Beverly Hills, and could not resist on not picking up the new Assolutamente Black strap. Love this watch!
My Explorer1 214270
I purchased an Explorer about a week ago. My initial impression. The watch wears nice and thin. Is light and comfortable, the hands contrast the dial so is very easy to read at a glance. It is simple yet beautiful with the matte dial. The balance of polished to brushed steel is just right. The lume at night is very good. I think we'll get along just fine..
