Introducing: The Montblanc Collection Villeret Tourbillon Cylindrique Pocket Watch 110 Years Edition, And Navigator Unique Piece Nautical Clock
The navigation theme has been a pretty prominent one in Montblanc’s recent production – probably most visibly, in the watches named for the famous Portuguese explorer, Vasco da Gama – but this year Montblanc’s pretty much pulled out all the stops in making something that speaks both to the history of marine chronometers, as well as showcasing the artisanal side of watchmaking in the Montblanc portfolio as it exists at the Minerva movement manufacture (the counterpart to the somewhat larger scale production facility that Montblanc maintains in Le Locle). The Montblanc Collection Tourbillon Cylindrique Pocket Watch 110 Years Edition (with which Montblanc challenges Audemars Piguet for Brand That Gives The Longest Names To Its Watches) and the Montblanc Collection Tourbillon Cylindrique Pocket Watch 110 Years Edition Unique Piece (ditto) are triple time zone, world-time tourbillon pocket watches of really incredible beauty; the latter is paired with a pretty
The White Moonwatch is finally complete.
Took me a while to get the pieces to this beautiful project. 3573 with a (off) white dial / black hand mod. All on a black croc strap and a satin deployant. Call it a franken-Speedy--but I've been craving this look and it's finally complete. Couldn't be more pleased. Enjoy. A news: Prestigious pairs of "Chinese" watches at the Patek Philipp
Luxury watchmaking from London, Geneva and later from the Neuchatel Jura played a major role at the end of the 18th century and during the entire 19th century as a supplier of the Middle Kingdom.European watchmakers, goldsmiths, painters on enamel and engravers came together in order to create these true works of art intended to seduce the Chinese dignitaries. But why these unique timekeepers, which are quite different, were produced in pairs and some of them by mirror image effect? To solve this mystery, come and discover the exceptional thematic exhibition The Mirror of Seduction at the Patek Philippe Museum, from 15th May to 16th October 2010!Every week on Monday, the Patek Philippe Museum unveils a fabulous pair of Chinese watches.en ,,,,,beautiful pictures on the watch.my style.(I'm from china.)
My 1st Rolex
Have been collecting watches for a few years and have never had Rolex in my radar. Until 2-3 years back when I was smitten by images of the shiny Cerachrom in Blue and Black. That's when my whole finances went haywire because I've set out to clear away much of my small watch collection and saved up to coincide my 1st Rolex purchase as a 40th birthday gift to myself, this year. And so on my recent holiday visit to my best friend in Chicago (I flew in from Malaysia a few days earlier), I waited patiently on the delivery morning, then lo and behold, the Fedex delivery guy was on time to ring the bell to drop off the Rolex box. It was a BNIB full set, bought from a reputable reseller (denmanproject). He's been a wonderful person to deal with, great buying experience. Having had a Tudor Pelagos before, which I find is an amazingly made piece but easily scratched (because of the Titanium), I like the Rolex Oystersteel even more. Its weight, brushing and polished centre links brings out the wa
First Rolex, GMTII LN
Hi guys! After my initial post three months ago, the machine has arrived. I went for the LN instead of the Batman and I'm 100% happy with the choice. Photos just don't do it justice, it is incredible. Funny thing, ended up buying it in the same Rolex boutique where I once said I'm going to buy this watch one day, and with the same salesperson that was there at the time . There are things in life that aren't just coincidence. Guess I need to start working for the I'm going to buy this TT DJ w/ fluted bezel and black dial phrase mentioned at the AD Ahah, cheers guys!
