Many believe?that no watch collection is complete without a Rolex. Admittedly, there are brands which update their collections and models more frequently C which is perhaps not saying much C but the brand is steeped in history and their watches are built to very high and exacting standards. The problem, however, is: should you get a vintage one or a modern one? On one hand, vintage Rolex watches are arguably sexier; but on the other hand, modern Rolex watches are built with the latest in watchmaking technology and are extremely reliable. While perhaps there is no one?answer to this question, below we present you with?some opinions with regard to this conundrum. With 2014 over,?we take the opportunity to take a closer look at some cool?watches that were released last year. In the case of this round-up, these pieces are?Bulgari's amazing L'Ammiraglio Del Tempo Minute Repeater Detent Escapement watch and Tudor's extremely cool Heritage Black Bay Blue. Poor visibility with Grey themes..... Any others have similar issues
I have a 42mm ROO grey themes titanium on a bracelet. First of all I have to say that I love the watch and it looks amazing in person. That said, it's a little annoying that the minute it gets a little dim it becomes very difficult to tell the time. When you have an almost 30k watch and you have to take your phone out to tell the time it becomes a real pain.Actually thinking about trading it in for the 44mm ROO stainless and ceramic. Curious if any others have had similar issues. Thanks
help me decide next purchase :) 15202R vs 5164R or 5167R
I have several APs (T3 grey dial, FC ROO 44 Novelty, RB2 RG) and I was thinking of adding something dressier.. My initial choice was Jumbo 15202 in RG, then yesterday on the plane back from Mexico saw a gentleman sporting a Patek Aquanaut 5167R.. I like the Aquanaut but I prefer the Dual time version and then by accident yesterday I saw they announced a 5164R.What do you guys think? The only thing I'm wary is the chocolate dial and brown strap, I'm more of a black color guy.. So to cut it short:15202 RG vs 5167R? Thank you
Black Dial stainless Daytona versus Blue Dial AP Royal Oak 15300
Hello all,Medium term lurker and first time poster! I find myself in a bit of a quandry and was keen to gauge some general opinion by calling upon the collective wisdom of the forum.I currently have a stainless/yellow gold bimetal daytona (ref 116523, black dial) which I purchased a month or so ago with a view to it being a daily wear (work in an office, wear a suit). To be honest I rushed into the purchase and have found I don't love the watch, mainly due to the bimetal aspect - I find it lacks a bit of versatility, and is perhaps too flash for everday work wear (meeting clients), and not flashy enough to be really special that only comes out a couple of times a month.....As such I have decided to trade it for a stainless daily wearer, and then save up for something else for weekend wear/special occasions (something in Rose Gold or White Gold, love the Daytona ref 116515 LN).My initial thought process was simply trade it for a stainless Daytona. This won't really cost me anything and I
Help, damage from jewelry cleaner- faded bezel
Ok. Dumb move. I left my vintage Moon watch in jewelry cleaner for almost 2 days. It removed the black ink from the back of the watch and also faded the bezel. Of course the water line left a portion 80-65 untouched as this part sat above the cleaner. Any ideas on how to fix?
