A Clearer Calendar: Girard-Perregaux’s New Traveller with Large Date, Moon Phases and GMT
Girard-Perregaux launched its Traveller collection a revamp of its travel-themed ww.tc line in 2013. Several variations on those first models have arrived on the scene since that debut, including an all-black titanium DLC version. The latest, debuting this fall, is the first Traveller with a translucent dial that offers a glimpse at the inner workings of the watch’s patented big date mechanism. The metallic gray dial of the Girard-Perregaux Traveller Large Date, Moon Phases & GMT is made of sapphire. The watch’s wearer can peer through its smoky surface to see the watch’s sophisticated date complication, located prominently at 12 o’clock, at work. What sets this one apart from other big date indicators is the pair of superimposed disks, one of which is a mere .10 mm thick and has elements made of transparent folanorm, arranged so as to ensure a seamless display, with no visible separation between the two date disks.Another standout feature is the moon-pha
New AP Diver release
Hey all - Happy Holidays,I'm in the market for an AP Diver in steel. I've been eyeing this piece for a while and went yesterday to try it on. The dealer mentioned that he received a list from AP with a new reference for a diver model supposed to be released soon. He doesn't know when, perhaps at SIHH, or perhaps later. The reference listed was investigated by him and it seems the information he got back mention the new steel diver will have the open case back with a modification in the movement and slightly different seals for the crown and bezel crown.Has anyone got any more detailed information about this or have heard of this rumor before? I'm not sure if the AD was trying to steer me to a different model or was simply being frank. Thanks in advance...
Brand New Navi 01 Broke After 8 Hours of Wearing It
Hi Guys,Bought my first Breitling, Navi 01. Took the watch to the Breitling Boutique in NYC to be sized yesterday morning, and wore it for the afternoon and evening. During dinner, I was running the chrono to see how long it would take for dinner to come, and when I pressed the pusher to stop the chrono, instead of stopping, the second hand reset to zero, but not the hour or minute counter. I pressed start, the second hand started, pressed stop, and exact same thing happened, the second hand reset but not the other registers. I then pressed reset, and it did not reset. Then I pressed start, the chrono would not start, the pusher will not operate at all. I shook the watch a bit, the second hand started, it it has been running ever since, cannot be stopped, the top pusher does not function at all.I'm pretty disappointed, this is my first Breitling and it broke in less than a day. I hope this is a unique experience because I love the Navi 01 but I'm concerned with Breitling's build
Why they call it Tudor fifty-eight?
Since the bezel is 39mm, does anyone know why they call it Black Bay fifty-eight and not Black Bay Thirty-Nine? Just like Black Bay 32mm bezel is call Black Bay 32, so to make things simple, why don't they name Black Bay 39mm bezel according to the size? Just curious
How hard is it to get a steel Daytona?
I see it going for over MSRP on some sites, but then I see that happen with the Sub, and I've walked into stores that have it without issue. What gives? Is it regional? National? If I wanted one, but don't want to pay in excess of the $12,400 MSRP, is that realistic?
