Money Shot: IWC Lands Two Starring Roles in Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps
IWC has secured another starring role on the big screen, this time in Oliver Stone's upcoming film Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps. Watches from Schaffhausen land on the wrists of both lead actors: Michael Douglas as the notorious Gordon Gekko and Shia LaBeouf as the innovative Jacob Moore. The film is the long-awaited sequel to Stone’s 1987 Academy Award-winning Wall Street. LaBeouf’s character is a well-educated, talented, driven trader with a passion for the finer things in life. He wears the IWC Portuguese Perpetual Calendar, Ref. IW502303. Gekko, just out of prison and trying to save Wall Street from the financial meltdown he foresees, wears the IWC Da Vinci Perpetual Calendar Edition Kurt Klaus in rose gold, Ref. IW376205.The film co-stars Josh Brolin, Carey Mulligan, Frank Langella, Eli Wallach and Susan Sarandon. Opening September 24.Click the image below to visit the film’s official website.
Review of the Seiko Velatura SRH005 From WatchReport.com
I've always been a big fan Seiko Kinetic watches. There's something about generating power through physical movement that I somehow find more intriguing than a static and stationary solar cell. With the introduction of the new Kinetic Direct Drive movement which appears in the Velatura SRH005, the Kinetic experience gets even more interesting.Click on the above text for the full article at WatchReportwatches-dealer. I never understood the problem with this. Not sure why it bothers some folks that certain brands use this strategy.I don't think it necessarily dilutes from a brand's core designs in any way.Thoughts?
Navitimer 01 43mm / New leather strap
Hi guys I own a beautiful Navitimer 41mm with the calf leather band. It even enjoys as much, if not more, wrist time as my Rolex GMT2 Unfortunately the leather is wearing out and is starting to look a bit shabby. The leather strap with the folding clasp costs AUD$590 in Australia Any suggestions where to get a new original one at a good price? Or maybe a different brand but I'd prefer it to be as good or better quality as the original ones? Cheers from Down under! Ken
CK2998 - in
Hi all,Thought I'd share the new purchase. Ck2998 to go with the speedy pro and couple of Rolex that I have. Really like it. For now, strap only as don't have a bracelet but that's no prob as both of the Rolex and my speedy pro live on theirs so it's a nice change and a dress up for the suit.I know this watch doesn't get much love, but as a value proposition I think it's just about fine compared to the speedy with the sapphire and the ceramic. I did pay slightly over list, but that's the way of the world in the U.K. As we stand and I'm actually pretty pleased I got it for where I did. Wears slightly smaller than the pro, and achieves the vintage/dressy look pretty well imo.I will get a couple of new straps. I love the blue, but to avoid a blue overload may get a brown and a nylon/cordura. I will also invest eventually in a bracelet although they are tough to find. It's amazing. I started off with Rolex and thought I'd want nothing else. A speedy pro and now this has me thinking. Some d
