Blancpain Villeret 2014 Watch With Enamel Dial And 8 Days Of Power
As a pre-Baselworld 2014 announcement Blancpain will release a lovely new dress watch simply called the Villeret that we feel fits into that rare category of a daily-wear formal timepiece. Watches that work as regular daily wear watches must successfully combine versatile style, convenience, comfort, and of course utility. Most of these timepieces tend to be sport watches, and dress watches such as the Rolex Datejust or President that are good for daily wear are a bit less common. So why is the attractive 2014 Villeret a good choice for daily use?First of all, the watch starts with a new for 2014 Blancpain movement called the Caliber 1335. This builds on top of the caliber 1315, which Blancpain uses in most of its three-hand movement-based timepieces. We recently presented a hands-on review of the Blancpain Fifty Fathoms that uses a caliber 1315, which is an automatic with five days of power reserve. Blancpain hasn't offered a ton of details about the 1335 yet, but from what I can tell
Has there ever been a no date Royal Oak?
So I've seen the incredibly expensive VC Overseas ultra thin and wondered if there has ever been a 39mm or greater Royal Oak without the date. IMHO that would be a beautiful and symmetric watch.I'm not talking ROO's just the normal RO's
8500 Movement - anyone have one yet?
Do you notice any appreciable difference? I'd like the speedmaster with the moonphase, I recently saw one at the Rodeo Drive boutique but it was the old movement. I may as well wait for the new 8500.Wondering if there are any out there in TRF land?
Anyone see any White 5067?
A friend is interested in one. I would prefer to buy new if possible. Has anyone seen one lately? .patek/en/ladies-watch...naut/5067A-024
DJ41 10 months on....
Some DJ41 performance stuff folk might be interested in if considering purchasing one...I’ve had mine 10 months....1.Wear it for 6 hours per day and I get the full 70hours reserve..2. It keeps near perfect time....+/- 1 sd dependant how the watch is laid down at night.3. Only manually 20/30 winds once a month to keep the winder active, runs at its best just letting the movement do its own thing.4. Not really performance but don’t be too concerned about dings and sctratches they just kinda disappear after a while.5. Pretty robust and is capable of handling the riggers of wearing it out and about, not nesscesary to baby it and wrap it in cotton wool.Still love it as much as the day I got it....blue dial, fluted bezel and jubilee bracelet...
