DSSD or AP Diver
Wanted to get some input from TRF. I know this is the AP section, so I might get a biased result, but here it is.I'm looking at picking up a minimal piece to put into the rotation. Something you would wear almost on a daily basis. I've been looking at the Rolex DSSD D-Blue and the AP Diver with white dial. The DSSD James Cameron just gets my attention for some reason. I've never been a big Rolex guy, but this one really sings to me. I do have an Explorer 2 that I rotate in every once in a while. On the other hand, the AP Diver with White dial ahs always been of interest to me. I'm thinking I can add a white strap during the summer and would add some versatility. My only concern is this would be a 3rd ROO to my collection. I already have a ROO 44 in FC and RG. Should I venture away from the ROO line this time around and get something different?
Thinking of getting my first Omega...help pls
Hi all,This is my first post here on the Omega board as I am a Rolex TT Sub owner and only really looked at Rolex before.I am thinking of buying a pre-owned TT Omega Speedmaster similar to the one in this ebay link: item 190363269772.Can you give me your opinions on how this might compare to my much loved Sub - weight, quality of feel etc and could there be any regrets going for this over a standard SS version? Is there anything to avoid on age or anything else I should be looking out for? Many thanks!
Investment Advice on 6102P
Hi, I would like some people's views on the 6102P as an investment piece. I was in the shop buying a PP (first PP but regular customer who have purchased many others) and my AD mentioned that there are a few PP beauties coming in soon and one of them is the 6102P. Given the price, I want to do my research before I even consider it thinking about it so I would appreciate any thoughts on this. The only reason I am even contemplating about it is the fact that I don't have to go through the process / application which takes ages, and even if you have money you might not be given one. Some of the questions I was thinking- What would be a good sale price to get this piece? - How many years before I can see any good returns?- How rare is it compare to other PPs?- Given the GFC and downturn, what is the demand in the market for watches such as this?I would rather spend it on a watch and enjoy it then put my money in a term deposit.
