Interview: Visit To The New Panerai Boutique In Miami & Interview With Angelo Bonati, CEO Of Panerai
This month Panerai opened its first ever flagship store in the United States and I was lucky enough to go down to see the boutique for myself. The 2,200 square foot boutique is located in the heart of the Miami Design District – the innovative neighborhood being developed by Dacra, founded by entrepreneur Craig Robbins, and L Real Estate, a global real estate and development fund. 1 OF 17 The Miami Design District development is special in that it partners with prominent architects and artists to design the buildings and retail spaces. Each space is unique and creates an overall experience for the shopper. The Panerai boutique is located in an area called Palm Court, along with several other luxury brands such as Vacheron Constantin, IWC, Hublot, and Piaget (to name a few). 5131 - what's the best way of getitng one?
I met my friend and her family for brunch today. Her dad is a huge Patek collector (gets invited to those dinners T Stern holds every year in Asia), and he was wearing his 5131j. I've never seen one in real life before that.I never quite understood the hype surrounding the 5131 before this, but now that I've seen it, I've decided that some form of leather strapped 5131 (don't mind gold or plat) will be my next watch. The question is, with the 5131r being discontinued as of this March, what's the best way to get one? Wait for the successor of 5131 once the 5131p is discontinued, or hunt the resell? I don't mind waiting a couple of years.
Next Patek: 5980 or 5164
Hi everyone, this is my first post here and I can't seem to make up my mind. I love sport watches as they are a majority of my collection which consists of a Rolex Sub, AP ROC, and PP: 5227j, 5712/1A, 5726a. Im also open to other suggestions as well but for now I'm just considering the 5980 white dial and the 5164. Thanks!
16600: 10 Year Retirement Anniversary
Can't believe it's been 10 years since the SEA-DWELLER 16600 was retired and the DEEP-SEA made its debut. If I remember correctly 16600 was retired with a price of USD $6200 and DSSD debuted at USD $8000.I've been lucky to have my Z series since 2011 after finding it NOS in a tiny AD, and although I love seeing the new releases every year, I'm happy having this one as my everyday watch. The only Rolex that still hunts me (although not enough to pay today's crazy prices) is the GMT-MASTER II 16710 as it's a bit more comfortable and the GMT feature is awesome. To know I could've bought it BNIB from an AD when I purchased my first Rolex (a DJ) in 2007....Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
