Buying Watches In Denver, Colorado: Oster Jewelers
Welcome back to an watches-dealer original series, where we discuss important stores that sell watches all over the world. Each store we profile has an interesting story to tell about where they operate and who they sell to. Whether you buy watches from brick and mortar retailers or prefer to buy watches online, these are the stores that help shape our watch culture around the globe. There is a long list of stores to cover, but if there is a retail location in your favorite city that we simply can't miss, let us know in the comments below.Where to buy watches in Denver, Colorado? We again look in on a Colorado retailer, this time, in the capitol city of Denver which is home to Oster Jewelers. While they started selling watches back in 1991 in Aspen, they have been in business as Oster Jewelers in Denver since 2002. Run by Jeremy (a passionate watch collector) and his wife Melissa, Oster provides an intimate watch buying experience in the Cherry Creek shopping area of Denver.Jeremy and M
Speedometer Official Unidirectional Bezel Bracelet
If you have been looking for alternative ways of accessorizing yourself with a piece of horology, the Speedometer Official Unidirectional Bezel bracelet may?very well be worthy of consideration.?As its name suggests, the designer of the Unidirectional Bezel bangles, the Italian Marco Gatti?has?clearly been inspired by some of the iconic Rolex?bezel designs, those found on the Rolex Submariner and GMT-Master II, to be exact. You see, from Breguet numerals through unique color schemes to trademark shapes, over the last 200 years the watchmaking industry has produced some truly iconic designs, some of which have become recognized all over the world. And while we have been seeing these designs be "re-considered," homaged, or blatantly copied?countless of times, these trademark aesthetics have scarcely escaped the world of watches. In other words,?it?would be?safe to say that the watch industry has taken?inspiration from other industries rather than the other way around. Just think about the
Seiko Astron Solar GPS Watch New Design Added For 2014
Seiko has been putting serious resources into the success of their Seiko Astron GPS Solar watch collection that they debuted about two years ago. We've been fans of the techie watch that instead of relying on radio signals from the few terrestrial atomic clocks, connects to signals from GPS satellites. Why? Well to indicate the correct time anywhere in the world of course (assuming you are more or less outside that is). There is a forthcoming watches-dealer review on the Seiko Astron Solar GPS, but until then we can report on a brand new collection of new Seiko Astron watch designs that will be available worldwide next month.According to Seiko, these six new Seiko Astron GPS Solar design options have been inspired by the curvature of the earth. With the same movement inside, these new designs feature a new case, dial, hands, and dramatically curved sapphire crystal. Seiko claims that these new crystals require over ten hours of polishing to get right. Part of this explains the higher p
Pro-Hunter Military Single Red DeepSea Rolex Watch Available On James List
I am about to discuss modified Rolex watches more often. I have been fascinated by this concept for a while and it is about time I delved deeper into this world. There are really two major types of Rolex watch modifications. One is modifying new Rolex watches, while the other is modifying older or vintage Rolex watches (usually Submariners and Daytonas). This is the Pro-Hunter Military Single Red DeepSea. It is one of the former varieties of Rolex modders (there they secretly buy up new Rolex watches to do their mad scientist work on the watches). Pro-Hunter starts with a Rolex DeepSea Sea-Dweller, and ends up with this interesting result. What I like is that the watch is immediately noticeable as a Rolex, but has its share of little differences that give it that "pimp my Rolex" vibe. One thing that is interesting is that Rolex apparently hates these watches. I've been told that if you have a modified Rolex watch, never send it to Rolex for servicing (they might not exactly send it back
Reason to be concerned?
Hello all, i have had my Omega Seamaster chronograph #2225.80 since December 2013 and has never given me any trouble. I like the watch and keeps good time, usually within less than a minute every day at 7:00pm, an alarm that i have set and is always within a minute.Until today, or yesterday May 26th, i noticed it stopped telling come completely. I could not hear the movement inside ticking like normal and none of my hands on the watch were moving. I gave the watch about 40 winds and still no movement, from the second hand or the movement period. It wasn't until i fiddled with setting the hands and then i started the chronograph when it started moving, the second hand. I set the correct time and it now tells time as it should. It is functioning as i know it to be okay and is working. Should i be concerned of this malfunction? I wear the watch nearly 24/7. I take it off when i shower most times and let it sit, and sometimes when i play guitar, but other than that it stays on.
