Greubel Forsey GMT Watch Now In Platinum
We've covered a number of Greubel Forsey watches here, and while they're all unique to one another, they share a common design DNA. ?Much of this can be seen in the various ways that complications are built and utilized in a watch. ?For many of the models, this uniqueness transmits itself all the way out to the case, which often has uncommon curves and bulges added, both to accommodate the mechanics, as well as draw the eye in. ?Their latest, the Platinum GMT, is no exception to that rule. Now, for this watch, we actually have three different GMT displays - two of which are conventional, with the third being pure artistry. ?Before we get to the icing on the cake, however, we'll start with the foundation of things. ?To the left of the main time display you have the first (and most traditional) GMT display - a secondary dial that appears at the 10 o'clock position on the main dial, giving us a second time zone. ?Where's the second "standard" readout?Well, for that, you actually need to fl

BVLGARI Serpenti Incanti
A symbol of physical strength and intelligence, the snake wraps its body around the wrist to showcase Bvlgari's flair for watch and jewellery design. The Serpenti Incanti C enchanted snake C coils around a dial glittering with 116 brilliant-cut diamonds on a 30mm gem-set white or rose gold case. The quartz movement brings to life two blue spear-shape hands that track the hours and minutes on the dial. The rose gold model has baguette-cut magenta rubellites to soothe the diamonds glare around the dial and on the serpent's head. The white gold model dazzles with pure diamonds: 112 stones capture the light on this piece. Both watches have chocolate or blue satin straps with a gem-set gold pin buckle. Two models with diamond straps finish the collection. Price: 45,000 CHF (satin strap) C 70,000 CHF (gem-set gold strap). Sharmila Bertin
w&w Round-Table #14: What Were your Most and Least Favorite Pieces from Baselworld this Year?
With our Baselworld 2016 coverage coming to an end (there still might be a couple of pieces left to write) we figured we'd sum up the event with one of our Round-Tables. The question is simple: "What were your most and least favorite pieces from Baselworld this year?” Looking back, I'm actually very impressed by this year's offering. At Basel, it felt a little slower and quieter than previous years, but the brands that we like almost all had a few very strong pieces. Of course, they can't all be winners, but keep in mind the answers below are purely our subjective opinions on the watches and not "reviews" of them. Let us know what you’re most and least favorites were in the comments, and enjoy!Christoph McNeillWell, with each year’s Baselworld, there’s lots to like, and plenty to dislike. There were several new releases this year that I liked, so picking my favorite was a little hard. So I’ll cheat a little by saying that it came down to either the new Squ
