Movado Ferrari Watches
I was sort of under the impression that Hublot had the corner on this market, but whatever. Movado just announced that it signed a multi-year agreement with Ferrari?to make watches with the Ferrari and Scuderia names, as well as use the brand logos. How this ties into Hublot's assumed exclusive agreement is unclear to me. My theory is that Hublot has claim on all higher-end Ferrari watches, while the Movado deal is for more entry-level luxury watches. According to the announcement the Movado Ferrari watches will only cost up to 1,500 Euros. Set to arrive in 2013, the Ferrari collection of watches from Movado will take a lot of forms, the least of which will be this Movado Museum watch with a prancing pony in lieu of the sun.UPDATE: So Hublot was kind enough to clear some of the confusion around what seems to be competing contract agreements with Ferrari and watch makers. Hublot has a larger more robust contact agreement to participate with Ferrari in all sorts of events and products, a

Quick question about quartz
Hello,I have a friend who wants to buy a quartz omega seamaster but I'm not sure it's a good deal (he's being charged $2k supposedly with the warranty). I'm also concerned that he may have been tricked as the watch looks a little off to me. Can anyone take a look and tell me if there are any red flags or if my suspicions are warranted (not considering the warranty as a sign of authenticity)?

Question re buying w/o b&p on specific models..
So I have a question regarding buying certain models without box and paper. Specifically, the Kermit and 16710 Pepsi. As we know, both can be easily faked. A 16610 with a real or aftermarket green bezel is easy to do as is a 16710 Coke or LN with a Pepsi bezel. Other than having Rolex look up the serial during a service or something to that effect, how else would you know that it's a legitimate born as Kermit or Pepsi?I see several no B&P Kermits and Pepsi for sale here. I've also see a Pepsi for sale where it actually had the papers and it was marked R16710N30 (which means it's a all black GMT) and the seller was selling it as a Pepsi. When quizzed, they feigned ignorance and said that's how they bought it and didn't question it.I mean what's stopping someone from buying a correct era, run-of-the-mill no b&p 16610 for $5-6K, buying a Kermit bezel and then selling for $10K? When/if the buyer finds out, just say oh that's I got it, I didn't ask questions.?I know with the Kermit
