How Quickly A Pickpocket Can Steal Your Watch
"One of the most common things I steal are watches" says renowned pickpocket Apollo Robbins. The famed master thief talks to New Yorker writer Adam Green in a new video and article discussing his honed craft. In the video Robbins demonstrates with incredible ease and agility how he is able to deftly remove a man's watch right off his wrist without suspicion.Seeing Robbins in action is actually as frightening as it is entertaining. The now Las Vegas-based performer and consultant is considered to be one of the world's foremost experts on the art of tricks and misdirection. Pickpocketing is as much about being fast as it is about understanding psychology and how to distract people. It makes you think your watch (and other items) are ripe for the picking.[youtube youtubewatches-dealer/watch?v=UyVFG1CCDco]That may be true in the abstract, but people like Robbins are incredibly rare. Speedmaster "Speedy Tuesday" - A Pictorial
On your mark, get set... go!January 10th 2017 was a very special Speedy Tuesday. As was customary on every Tuesday, I received an email from Fratello Watches introducing the Speedy Tuesday Limited-Edition Speedmaster. So naturally I was very intrigued and immediately began to read the article. But before I could get very far, I had to stop to take care of some business and only manged to finish reading it many hours later. Paraphrasing the last paragraph of the article: order here... soonest. I was pretty confused given that I'd never heard of such an online reservation-process before and at the onset of the article* I assumed it was going to be something for Basel in March (*err, I obviously skipped the preface...).So hours later I clicked on the provided Omega Online Reservation link. Then the real fun began... No free number available, please try later... I must have refreshed my browser-window over a hundred times. And then it happened ...the automated reply changed to Number nnnn
Speedmaster Broad Arrow 3594 versus 60th anniversary
I'm looking really hard at both reissues of the classic first speedmaster, price considerations included, which would you gents prefer?Does the level of attention to detail to the original justify the difference in price?I'm not 100% convinced that one watch has the edge over the other.
I LOVE this feeling.
Guys, I am super excited to meet my new baby tomorrow (according to Dr. Patrick, aka OCROLEXGUY, the baby will be delivered tomorrow afternoon. This baby has been on my list for a long time. Couple years back, an unfortunate event happened to me personally and I had to let go all of my watches. Two years ago, not Lady Luck, but her other cousin Mr. Bad Luck, visited us right on Thanksgiving night. We got robbed at gun points right in our house, right when I put my 7 year old Patrick to bed. All were gone. I have never complained or given up. My wife and I worked tirelessly to care for the children and try to save up to buy back the watches I love so much. Piece by piece, they started to come home. First the GMTIIc, next was the Yacht-Master (for the man that judged my character based on my misspelled of Yacht-Master and for how I did not post enough on this forum ) then the new blue Datejust 41mm, and tomorrow.......my wife and I will welcome our newest baby: Random serial Explorer II
