Watches NEWS
No longer in the club
I'm sad to say that I'm no longer an AP club member. I recently let my 15400 go. I really did like the watch, it was a hard decision. I think my issue was defining what type of watch it was. A sports watch? It could be. But the bling factor and the fact that it scratches just by looking at it detracted from it being a true sports watch.Well then it must be a dress watch. I tried to make it work, but it just did not look right to me dressed up. Maybe it was the size of the dial.Anyways, I think my next purchase will be the 15202. I'm not sure when I'll be ready but I think the 15202 may fit the bill a little more than the 15400.Hopefully though this hiatus won't be too long!
And now the Aerospace...
...is on my wrist. I've had an interest in this watch for years, due to its combination of digital and analog technology. In high school, my dad gave me a Seiko Sports 100, which had an analog face with a dive watch look, but also had a digital readout. Very handy and served me well for years, until my dad gave me his Omega Speedmaster Professional and my love for classic mechanical watches with an adventurous feel was born. I'd debated the Aerospace's utility, in a world of iPhones. Nonetheless, I decided I wanted one good quartz watch with various functions. The Aerospace is that watch, for me. I bought it yesterday. A little crazy, since I scored the 38mm Transocean the previous day, but I know my fellow watch enthusiasts will understand! Here's a quick photo...ImageUploadedByTapatalk1372281023.523449.jpg
Input please - sell or trade or keep
Ok, I am getting a new watch next week, my AD has offered about 1000.00 trade on my Seamaster Chronodiver. I am worried about getting scammed by private selling myself on craigslist/ebay. What should I do? I should add that I don't think the Omega will get much wrist time after next week, the watch I am getting is my grail.
Bought my old Bumper a ''new'' bracelet...
And man do I like this combo...Soooo comfy..
Looking for some Rolex pricing insight.
I purchased a 116660 and couldn't be happier with it and got it for $9000 shipped and it's a MK1! What i am wondering is why the Deepsea is so under priced compared to the pricing on the other SS models that i feel aren't the same caliber as the 116660. Hope you guys can enlighten me as i have been out of the watch game for a few years and my interest is peaking back up again. Thanks
