Martin Braun Grande Chrono Watch Available On James List
Watch maker Martin Braun recently announced that he is going to go independent from the Franck Muller Group (who are financially in horrid shape right now). Why is Martin able to do this? Because his watches are popular enough and also a good value. Not sure about the minor details about his going independent, but is certainly happening, and the new batch of watches are coming out in about 6 months from now. I had the opportunity to meet with Mr. Braun personally once. He is a nice guy and really into watch making. Has a good eye for detail, and is more of an artist and technician than business man in my opinion (a good thing). Most all of his watches are good to own. You might like some more than others, but here is a nicely designed good value timepiece that reminds me of a more refined Montblanc timepiece. Funny how both Martin Braun and Montblanc are often appreciated to "MB." This is the steel and black version of the Brand Chrono watch.? It is 42mm wide and has a Swiss ETA Valjoux
Van Ree Personal DNA Watch With YOUR Genetic Code
You've just stepped into a fine watch boutique - and after some time have decided on a new watch to buy. The sales person goes into the back for a moment and returns with a little kit. They open up a small vial to remove a large cotton swab. At this point you are starting to wonder if this is to clean something or to perform some type of twisted "white glove test" on your person to make sure you are worthy of a luxury watch purchase. No, you've made the decision to buy yourself a Van Ree Personal DNA watch, and all that comes with it. The "Personal DNA" component of the watch name is quite literal. Each watch will contain the personal DNA of the buyer. Why? Really no reason other than to be different and unique. Van Ree describes it as a way of having a very personal fingerprint ( erI mean genetic imprint) of yourself on your new timepiece. That cotton swab I was talking about will be used to scrape your tongue for a bit of your DNA. The salesperson then puts the swabbed swab into a via
Watch Spotting: Super Bowl 50 Champion Peyton Manning Wearing A Panerai Radiomir On The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon
Whether it was for the sport, the commercials, the halftime show, or the incredibly awesome nachos (add chorizo – you're welcome), you were likely one of the 111.9 million viewers that tuned into that big football game called Super Bowl 50. This year we saw the Broncos beat the Panthers 24-10, led by quarterback Peyton Manning. 1 OF 1 It's no secret that athletes like watches, just see here and here, so it was no surprise that during an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon we at HODINKEE noticed a rather large watch on Peyton's wrist. Dial restoration / refurbishing ? Any good source except SC?
Hi guys. I need some help.I have an AP Rubberclad white dial so i got bored of it and purchased an aftermarket Black dial for my RC model. However i did notice some slight blemish on the white sub dials and a tiny scratch on the sub dial marker and dial surface. I got the dial for a low price and wanted to get my watchsmith to to replace the dial and hands but now the marks have been bugging me. Ive seen many websites offering refinishing service for dials but im unsure of their reputation. Does anyone here knows where i can send the dial to get it refurbished as good as new other then AP service center?
What would you consider? Patek, Rolex, other
So, here is the current State of the Collection.I'm tying to get something a little more special for my next.I love the 16610 and the 116610LV. The Black Bay is incredible to look at, but if I'm honest, I gravitate to the Submariners, but it is such a value, I don't see selling it as much of a benefit. Right now the PAM 232 price is in the TANK. Seriously, if anyone has thought about getting one before, get it now. The brown on the dial is perfect. I'm wearing this one today, but I feel like I can't wear it all the time due to its size.I've had a couple PCL models now that have come and gone. The 116710LN and the 116520 black dial. Something about the Daytona, I always thought I would mar it up and that isn't a watch that looks good scratched IMHO. Because of this I have shied away from AP 15300/15202. Those things are to pretty to scratch! Feel like I'd be holding my wrist away from my body all the time and look like a nut.At the time I felt the 116710LN didn't fit me well a
