A Quick Overview Of Sinn Watches
When it comes to watches, we all have our particular tastes - one person may love chronographs, and another may opt for a simple three-hander. ?What we can all appreciate though, are a handful of attributes that a single brand has built into their entire lineup:Impeccable German aestheticsSolid build qualityImpressive mechanical movementsThese are all, of course, represented in the Sinn catalog. Photo credits for images in this article go to Zach Weiss by the way, and we appreciate his great shots. Surprisingly, for a brand that's "only" been around since the '60s, they have quite a variety of models as well - meaning those three attributes above are going to show up in a style of watch you'd want to have on your wrist. In the '60s, Helmut Sinn was a pilot who wasn't happy with the watches he was finding in the market, and decided to create his own. ?Additionally, he decided he wanted to sell direct to the consumer, cutting out the costs the "middle man" imposed. ?In may ways, it seems
Citizen Satellite Eco-Drive Watch: Gets Time From Space
Atomic clock radio signal syncing watches are so last year. Citizen just decimated the coolness factor of those watches with the Satellite Eco-Drive watch. This timepiece isn't just a concept, but will actually be produced as a limited edition later this year - and may have its tech show up in later watches. In a nutshell, the watch keeps its time super accurate from syncing with the navigational satellites that orbit Earth as opposed to syncing with radio signals that are broadcasted from local atomic clocks.Atomic clocks lose one second of time every 100,000 years or something like that. Maybe even longer. The point is that you'll be long dead before they are off by even a fraction of a second. Your standard quartz watch movement is accurate to within about 15 seconds a month. Syncing to an atomic clock is a good idea, and has traditionally been done in watches that do this by relying on radio signals that atomic clocks emit. However, there aren't atomic clocks all over the world, an
Ceramic bezel upgrade for aluminum bezel seamaster
Does anyone know if the bezel on an older Seamaster 300M (Part # 212.30.41.20.01.002) can be replaced with the ceramic bezel on the new Seamaster 300M (Part # 212.30.41.20.01.003)? I have read posts that it cannot be done, but I visited an Omega boutique over the weekend and a representative assured me that the new bezel would fit. He claimed that one of the in-store watchmakers had done this MOD on their personal watch.<br /><br />Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N920A using Tapatalk
Great Omega AD Story...
Got this one in the mail the other day as you all may remember, and got it new from an Omega AD (also Longines,Oris,Zenith & Hamilton) and got my usual 30% off as he does on all watches, at least all Omega...Without going into any detail, I returned the watch as it wasnt for me and did so with no hassle at all.Anytime you have a need for a new Omega and want 30% off, dont hesitate to PM me...I am not associated with this guy at all, get no kickbacks, nothing like that...he is well known over at the TZ Omega forum so it isnt new...Just real good guy...
