Need your advice on paring down my ROO collection
I just left Fedex with a mint pre-owned ROO Panda, and with a lnib CE Diver (the black with orange accented dial) coming in this Wednesday/Thursday, I will have 5 ROOs in my collection. I would like to narrow it down to just 3 eventually. Taking into account the list below, which 3 would you recommend keeping?* FC Jarno Trulli* SS Rubberclad with the light green lumed Arabic dial (currently at APSC receiving a service overhaul, back by end of week)* SS Blue dial (attached photo is a web pic): the black dial in my SS Black Themes on bracelet is getting swapped out this week for a blue roo dial that just arrived at APSC, direct from AP Switzerland. * SS Panda * CE DiverYour input/suggestions would be much appreciated.
Two 5711s, 1.5 years apart, and look totally different.
Hey guys. I hope everyone is having a pleasant day.So I will make this story as short as possible.I hunted and purchased a brand new 5711 from a guy (now my good friend) in Singapore about 1.5 years ago.I love everything about the 5711, and that was why I decided to see if I would have a chance to get one with my name on the papers.I am primarily a vintage collector, and I would have loved for my few(and my favourite) modern watches to have my name on the papers as sentimental value when being passed down. Not a deal breaker, but it did not hurt to put my name down assuming I would never get called.Fast forward a long time later, I got the call.I had to pursue. The watch is purchased from my home town, and has my name on it. Previous would have a relative as a buyer, so not worried on that aspect.Quickly after strapping it on, I noticed it looked very different from my previous 5711. Equally beautiful, but totally different.Dial color is not as blue, more turquoise, sort of grey, a lot
How would you feel?
Assuming a person knows the patek brand, how would you feel if you or they were consulting with an expensive attorney or doctor and he or she was wearing a complicated patek? Would it change your Initial Impression? Would it be different if he was wearing a gold rolex? Please try to answer with your initial emotional reaction.
Pricelist
Well, this is my first incoming of Patek Philippe... Okay no more. I received a catalog of Patek Philippe, from Geneva today! Had a great afternoon reading about Patek Philippe and such! Such beautiful watches! Here's some pics.
Alcohol or Rolex
I keep seeing thread after thread on the same topic and people seem a bit bitter lately. I am posting this just for fun to be a bit light hearted. I have no idea if the thread will be ignored or get a dozen replies. Here we go....If you were told you had two choices what would you pick between the following. You either have to give up Rolex watches for the rest of your life or alcohol. If you have so much as a sip of beer, you lose every Rolex watch you own and can never buy a new one. If you never drink again, Rolex will deliver one of every watch in its current catalogue and a one of every new model it has to you the day Basel World hits each year with the caveat you must keep the watches for yourself. So, would you pick your favorite alcohol of choice or Rolex for the rest of your days on Earth? I would pick the watches myself as I am not a big drinker.
