Botta Design UNO 24 Neo Single Hand Watch
Single-handed watches aren't anything new, but from a modern standpoint, probably one of the most important brands to know about in regard to single-hand watches with contemporary designs is Botta Design, by German Klaus Botta. I believe it was 1986 that he first released his modern collection of single-handed "Uno" watches. In fact, according to Botta Design, it was Klaus Botta himself who produced the first ever wrist watch with a single-hand.Botta Design single-handed watches (as is the case with most) come in two forms. All of them have one hand, but some display the time in a 24 hour format, and some in a 12 hour format. The wearing experience between the two is very different. Botta Design Uno watches indicate the time with one hand in a 12 hour format, whereas Botta Design Uno 24 watches indicate the time in a 24 hour format, meaning the hand goes around the dial one time each day.Over the years, Botta Design Uno watches have (and continue to) come in many forms with both automa
Watch for my wife
To try to make up for a number of missed gift occasions, I had the idea that I might get my wife an AP RO. She's quite small, so I'm looking at the 33mm or 37mm ROs. However, visiting the AD and taking a look at the models they had left me a bit underwhelmed. Perhaps because it was swaddled in a quick layer of plastic, the 33mm 67650 just looked and felt a bit cheap - also, buying a quartz AP doesn't quite sit right with me. The 37mm 15450 was more appealing, but also didn't really sing to me (mind, I didn't have a chance to check out the new blue dial, which looks great in photos).I'm now thinking I should also take a look at the PP 7118. I would be interested in other members' thoughts on AP ROs for women, the 7118, or suggestions of other brands/models I should be looking at. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
How does AP age with scratches
i ve found that subs age rather nicelybut is it the case for RO as well? or is it more of a watch that should be pampered and worn only for certain occasions? Also, do you guys think its a MUST to get 15300 now since it is soon going to be discontinued? Many thanks from AP noob
moving from an explorer 2 to a seamaster gmt...
preface: i like rolex watches. i own a few of them. i like them all.i gifted a white exp2 (superluminova SEL 3186) to my dad and he likes it.my wife bought a black exp2 (superluminova also) and wears it on a strap as her wrists are too small - she likes it too.until recently, my beater has been a white exp2 (dead tritium non-SEL oysterlock) worn to hell and back.there's a myriad of reasons why i kept my exp2 in the cupboard and got the black seamaster gmt, the details of which i will explain... maybe at a later time, but it has something to do with RSC giving me a lot of grief.anyhow, i note that the seamaster gmt (SM GMT) is usually compared with the rolex gmt master 2. i thought i'd add my own impression of how it compares with an explorer 2 instead.any comments i did not make i probably don't care about (eg, the wavy black omega dial vs a glossy white rolex dial & slightly domed omega sapphire crystal vs flat rolex sapphire crystal - no difference to me as they are both legible
