Introducing The Blancpain Villeret 8 Day With Grand Feu Enamel Dial
With SIHH behind us, the pre-Baselworld releases are starting to appear. The first release from Blancpain is an addition to the classic Villeret collection, the Villeret 8 Day with Grand Feu enamel dial. The styling is restrained and traditional like the rest of the Villeret collection and inside is an in-house Blancpain movement with a full eight days (192 hours) of power reserve. 2 OF 3 One of the highlights of the new Villeret 8 Day is the Grand Feu enamel dial. Grand Feu is a special type of enamel that involves layering pigments and firing repeatedly at extremely high temperatures. So instead of the numerals being painted onto the enamel, they are actually painting in enamel during the process. The result means that on the finished dial the numbers are set in the enamel and will not wear away with time. These are hand painted and feature little hollows that match the open hands. 3 OF 3 Turning the 42mm red gold case over you'll see the calibre 1335
Help needed
Guys, I have a couple of Rolex, seldom wear them any longer but nonetheless don't need to move them, they have a place and I like wearing them occasionally. I have a number of modern PP, 5170, 5524, 5905, 5980R, 5711, 5167. I think that each watch should stand on it's own, so I never try to fill a hole.I have two AP's - 44 Rose and a 42 ROO black & red. I like the 44, this is the second go around with it, yet I seldom wear it. The ROO 42 never gets worn, it and the Aquanaght have been worn less than 10 hours each in the past six months.Thinking of moving the Aquanaught and the ROO for a 42 ROO Rose 26470OR.OO.A002CR.01Does this make any sense? the 44 and the 42?? If you were to have just one would the 44 or 42 be the one? What about the 42 on bracelet? Your thoughts on these three is much appreciated.
Nice way to start the day!
So I go to adjust the time on my 8500 PO, but when I unscrew the crown it starts to make this clicking sound and then comes loose in my fingers... the stem broke in the middle and is still in the tube.Watch is under warranty and I'm taking it to the boutique to send it for service. Hope it's covered. ..After it's fixed I think I'll sell it the day I get it back. It's a pretty watch, but I don't want this headache and bill when the warranty is over.Attachment 496449Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk
5712A - Tylers fault!
Saw Tyler's photo of his 5712A and thought it was so nice I just had to find one. A very classy watch indeed. I would highly recommend it.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Those with a Submariner AND a Seadweller...why?
I’ve seen several collections here where people have both a sub and a Seadweller 43/Seadweller 4000...Even in smaller 4-6 watch collections. Been curious on why some members have both and want to understand the reasoning. Do these watches serve different purposes? What kind of activities do you use each for?
