GIVEAWAY UNIQ P-47 Chronograph Watch
Not all affordable timepieces need to be mainstream and mass-produced. For those who prefer a Swiss quartz chronograph watch that is well designed we present the P-47 by Georgia-based (the country) UNIQ. The watch is inspired by the P-47 Thunderbolt airplane and the dial of the watch is clearly instrument panel-inspired. It has a 47mm wide steel case and dial that is available in several colors including black, blue, and military green. The legible dial has some attractive details and we like the legible SuperLumiNova coated hands and hour markers. Over the dial is an AR coated sapphire crystal.UNIQ supplies each P-47 watch with a pilot-style leather strap as well as a nylon ZULU strap. An attractive pilot watch, the P-47 is also something few people will have. Retail price for the UNIQ P-47 is $470, and you can enter for a chance to win one this month on watches-dealer.To Enter You Must: 1. Explorer1 over polished?
HelloThis is my first post on this forum and I would like some opinions regarding the polishing level of an Explorer.I am considering on purchasing an Explorer 1. The seller says that they have polished the watch but I am worried that it might be over polished. According to the pics that the seller has posted up, the reflections in the bezel seem to be skewed a little? I am not sure if this is normal or if its due to bad polishing.I would appreciate it if someone could provide some insight. Thank you in advance.
Former AD Ask Me (almost) Anything
After having lurked a bit on this forum I thought it would be nice to perhaps give some insight into the industry from an AD's perspective. Title says it all. I have worked for several AD's so any questions feel free to ask and Ill try to answer them as honestly as I can. Due to obvious privacy related issues won't disclose names, companies and locations.
Incoming: ceramic Daytona
As a follow up to my other thread regarding my (only) 8 month wait, i picked up my Daytona this morning. I could've had my choice of color when i ordered, but i wanted black - classic look and is a perfect partner to my Mitsukoshi Speedmaster.Such a beautiful piece. Hard to imagine anything else is my collection is going to be getting any wrist time in the near future...As for policies, procedures, etc. My dealer basically handed me the watch in the plastic shipping container - untouched by anyone, even them. I could have walked right out and they wouldn't have cared. However, I opened it up, took the stickers off and had them remove a link. They filled out the warranty card and activated it. No mention of any directive from Rolex to de-sticker, photocopy my ID and warranty card, etc. so ymmv on that. Here is it:
