Breitling Cosmonaute Limited Edition
The year was 1962. The space race was well under way, and as a supplier to civilian and military aviation, Breitling took a keen interest in this new adventure. Using the Navitimer chronograph as a base, the brand’s technicians developed the Cosmonaute, a space-going version of this instrument indicating the daily 24 hours in a single sweep of the dial. This configuration prevented confusion between midday and midnight. On May 24, 1962, astronaut Scott Carpenter tested this instrument under real-life conditions during his orbital flight aboard the Aurora 7 capsule. For its 125th anniversary, Breitling is issuing a limited series of the model that became the first wrist chronograph in space. Only 1,000 of these Cosmonaute watches will be produced, all equipped with an original version of the 24-hour dial. Corum Ti-Bridge for Only Watch
Corum has created a unique version of the Ti-Bridge watch for Only Watch 2009. The new and exclusive movement is designed, developed and assembled in-house. The CO 007 movement is clearly inspired by the Golden Bridge caliber, but the overall style of the timepiece gives the original concept a new and contemporary twist. Both the case and the movement are in titanium, a material known to be lightweight and difficult to work with. The bridges and plates of the Caliber CO 007 are cut from this titanium and black PVD-coated. Theupper bridge is engraved with the Corum brand name. The bridges are satin-finished, while the generously sized barrel is snail finished. The balance oscillates at 4 Hz, giving Caliber CO 007 a 72-hour power reserve. The curved and tonneau-shaped case is made from grade 5 titanium �C the only kind that can be polish-finished �C and measures 42.5 mm by 41.5 mm. On the case-back, Corum has engraved a famous quote from Antoine de St-Exup��ry taken from the book Le Peti

A window to the top centre of the dial indicates you whether or not the alarm is activated. Other complications are a power reserve indicator, the date and time, of course. The large pusher at the 08 is used to turn the alarm on and off. With lots of decoration Guilloche throughout the shows, the 45 mm wide 18 k rose gold case applied rubber to more easily manipulate the pushers. A special claw between the Crowns may be used to secure the diving bezel rotation if necessary as to not move not accidentally it. All these features handy, to share the Breguet REF. 5847BR/32/5ZU is a very capable diver 300 metres from the resistance to the water.
